I've got the bits to do a short shift somewhere in the garage, meant to be a really quick job. Did similar on the r26, was a big improvement (just moves where the cable joins the linkage).
If I find them, I'll fire them over to you if you want?
Surely trolling. Putting a piece of plastic over the sensor shouldn't be enough to bypass the security FFS. It's effectively a free pass into the phone? Forgetting that they discovered it at home, it means someone could pinch your phone, stick a piece of plastic on top and unlock it.
Really? The fingerprint scanner which is the gateway into the phone (banking apps etc) being fooled by a piece of plastic over the top is something they can't be blamed for?
Ditto Google allowing face unlock with closed eyes. Given how much they expect users to commit to on these devices...
I've got the 7, perfectly happy with it. Standard camera software isn't great, but the Google cam mod improves things a lot.
Already running Android 10, seems well built.
How does s**t like this get through QC? Same as the fold basically failing with minimal use, or exploding phones? Do they just not check?

Not a singer imo. Lower bumper, and the headlights look totally wrong.
But there's loads of companies doing the restomod Porsche thing.

Missing the point somewhat. It's a test that's carried out on a lot of phones, so allows comparison. And by going to extremes, gives people an idea of the worst they can expect.

It takes forever to catch up. Look at how long it took Apple maps to even become usable. I'm guessing no android auto/carplay compatibility, which is a massive issue given how many manufacturers are putting it in new vehicles.
I imagine they'll focus massively on markets like china and India.
I've got the Google cam APK on a 7. It's ridiculous the difference it makes, especially night sight.
I don't miss wireless charging, it gets charged when using android auto on the commute, so I only actually charge the thing once, maybe twice a week.
It's software. That's why Google get such good results with a single lens system.
Crap example, but just took these. First is the OnePlus app, second the Google camera app. Both on a oneplus 6. Look at the details behind the chair, the Google gets more detail, less noise. And weirdly, a wider...
The massive screen, combined with the 90hz refresh rate runs the battery hard. In one of the reviews it was mentioned that it gets 60% (roughly)of the battery life of the Huawei p30.
As soon as someone sorts out a Google camera APK the camera won't be an issue imo.
The software is good, basically plain android. I've got the 8gb ram 6, and it's the only phone I've had that slowed down at all over time. Updates arrive far quicker than Samsung etc.
