Have you ever tried getting into FCS circa 9? Did it a few years ago and the queues getting into the venue were horrendous. I would rather get in and sorted early.
It will be one of those things that only YOU will notice. If you hadnt said anything...we would probably have been none the wiser.
***I am going to try and run a relatively smooth convoy...steady run all the way if I can help it. Looking to leave Hopwood at 6:30 on the dot. If people are not...
Getting up at 5:30...I will be already driving by then. Feel sorry for the Northerners (Newcastle/Scotland) if they're travelling on the day...they would be leaving well before crack of dawn!!!
Piece of cake. Just make sure that it is for the right car and model. The air filters dont really do anything in all honesty. You would probably be better using a panel filter from itg or k&n for the minute difference (if any) that it makes.
Have a search, been discussed on here a lot of...
I might do mine later on this afternoon...then straight ib garage as it was a bit manky last Saturday...bit this is a show, so might have to put a bit more water on it (with cleaning stuff)
I am gonna call him when we are at j9 and he will join us at j10 (rather than us all coming off to go back on again).
If you want to wait with him...then no issues. Might make things a bit easier. :)
So to re-iterate...Hopwood Services on M42 leaving there at 6:30...phoning Adam when we get to j9 and he will drove down and meet us on M42 and drive to Donnington so should be there before 7:30 and hopefully beat all the queuing traffic.
If people need postcode for Hopwood Services, let me know.
If the whole thing is lit up like a Christmas Tree...could be alternator issue. Have you tried to use your wipers? If they are slow to work/move...then I would say alternator change required.
Our spaces will be left and then we go back to them afterwards. The parade lap wont be till the afternoon...so its not like we're gonna get people arriving while we are on the parade lap.
I never did Brunty...can see why Rockingham because of its reasonably close proximity to Brunty...but after a fair few years there it was too 'samey' year after year. I've only ever been to Donnington Park once for RWS years ago.
It might have to do a recce to see if Mandy can do a BBQ again...
Mine is probably more filthy than it was at the RR meet. Need to show it some water, etc on Saturday as dont wanna be the dirtiest car in FCS!!! pmsl.
Just dont want to do it with a few days left as I guarantee it would need doing again on Saturday. Cant wait to see if this is gonna be better...
Yeah...they will do it on your motor there and then, or you have to get someone with same car willing to do effectively a dual sitting...one for you (mail order customer) and one for them...which would take pne hell of a long time
I am thinking about leaving Hopwood Services circa 6:30 as it will take about an hour to get there. If we are there (Donnington Park) for 7:30 then we should be able to get ourselves on the parade lap for Lee which is good, especially when a fair few of us from the West Mids were there for the...
As said...not standard...but could be just about anything with slash cut tail pipes. It could sound perfect...or like a piece of crap. Would need to see the construction to work out if it was distinguishable from any others.
If you looked at the big screen it told them when the test had stopped...so that might be why they didnt push it too much. As it said 'TEST COMPLETE' so they backed off. Last time they didnt have that guidance, so carried on to the limiter for the computer to work it all out.
Dont forget...
Its been a good day yesterday and true to form shows what a good bunch of lads we have in the West Midlands. Gutted about circumstances stopping a few of the lads from running. I didnt want to put the FCS logos on the car in case it was kiss of death.
Also happy that we had no casualties on...
