Spotted this afternoon...02 plate pearl black 172. Noticed CS sticker on back window...but never seen it before in Telford.

As per Fred...wouldnt go there if my life depended on it. Really are bad and the bumper cut out they did on the car of someone I knew was cut as if Stevie Wonder had done it. Avoid like plague.

14. Trophy 1 has had bumper respray (see lack of black bits just under top grill) and LY V6 has bad front bumper matching (where previous repair has failed)

Ah s**t...sorry to hear. Where did you get the alternator from? If its from Renparts it should have 3 months warranty (in case it is screwed) As silly as it might sound...what is the voltage of the battery? As if its been taking a beating, the voltage could be pretty low and it hasn't had enough...

When was it last gassed? How often do you use it as not using for some time can stop its effectiveness.

You wont get much out of one...some people would rather use standard paper ones. Itg and k and n are 2 which are well known...the benefits will probably be the placebo effect.

Welcome to the club. If the exhaust is blowing by manifold...it needs a new kit. I would recommend getting under the car and checking which part of exhaust exactly is causing grief. The standard exhausts are made of chocolate and will go without too much persuasion.

I wouldnt have said so...probably a day or two's turnaround if its a small factor. Larger factors may well have one in...but wouldnt bank on it.

Renault...or you can go for Gates's as its essentially the same thing. Mine was sourced for me...so dont know where they got it from but any decent motor factors should be able to get you the Gates's kit. :)

No worries at all. I didnt fit it...my mechanic said it was a ballache as it was more to do than they first thought. I wouldnt do an alternator mate...dont do electrics. I would purchase a new belt for thr sake of a couple of quid extra. When they let go mate...it will proper piss you...

Like I said at FCS...give Josh and Kat a shout at Renparts...50 for alternator and 15 quid next day delivery...I would be pretty sure its alternator on its way out...just dont have car die when driving it like I did a few months ago...not good

They would have public liability insurance...so my £50,000 worth of car would have been covered and Dave's Porsche Boxer (hair) would be worth the same. ;)
