Saw Josh's new motor yesterday....really nice jap import. Rwd 2litre turbo (or could be 1.8) and made by Nissan. Looks unspoilt too...which is defo a bonus.

Kwik s**t are paid to make as much money as possible. Take it to a local place to you who specialise in air con...they will test it and let you know either way...dont tell them it has a leak, see what their compression tests show. Ps. Didnt Kwik s**t provide you a report of what they felt that...

Look at your pic of scuttle panel. There is a hole where a plastic bolt should go...that might be what is in your hand...have you checked it???

The 172Cups seem to be better if given death from the beginning of life.

To be fair...they're only worth what someone is willing to pay. If they have minimal to no kerb rash and decent tyres...then £150+ (prob £200 ballpark figure) With loads of kerb rash and crap tyres, you would be lucky to get £150 because when you factor in refurb and new tyres....thats another...

I would think you'd need to prep or key the surface, then vht primer and vht paint. If you dont prep it, then I would think that with metal movement and heat, you would have it ruined pretty quick. I wouldnt do it if I was being honest as it will affect resale should you ever wish to (imho)

I had mine done by Pro-speed in Cardiff. It was stealth but did drop a bit beneath the bumper...much better sounding...

They bop it in 4th and floor it to see the power when accelerating, then when decelerating that is also where they get figures from. I've done 2 in the 182 and did 5 or 6 in the 172Cup. If your car is in good health, then it should be fine. The first time you run your car...you will s**t...

I knew about ac and lights, etc...as 172Cups used to have better figures than equivalent 172 & 182s which had ac, etc. It will take more power as its trying to run the other stuff while its being done. I need to get new oil as mine is running a bit low. Filter is clean and was reoiled a couple...
