1 of the metal brackets on the back box that goes into the exhaust hanger snapped off. I made a phone call to Hayward and Scott custom exhaust company in Basildon and they welded it back on. The left tailpipe (182) was sagging and thought it was the rubber in the exhaust mount bracket... Until I...
My old rear discs didn't have any spacers fitted
£7 each from Renault, make sure they're fitted tapered/countersink side to the stub axle, flat side outwards
Picked these up from the Fedex depot in Chelmsford today after 2 delivery attempts Monday and yesterday, can't wait to get them on :)

Set at the ride height Christopher mentioned but will raise the rear 20mm on the new setup.
Christopher: Will have the sensors checked the same time the coilovers are fitted.
I like the Turinis too, just fancied a change for a while and didn't want to run the 16s on track with tyres costing over £100 each. These are ideal as a 2nd.
It has an ESP issue but doesn't detract from how brilliant it performs. I've ordered a set of Spax coilovers which should be with me...
Youre right, I couldn't! I had no choice but to buy a can of primer as I ran out but didn't want to spend more money on tins of colour spray.IMO at least the lacquer makes them look more like a grey.
I guess there will be people out there that will always call it Christophers RB, fair play he did own it for 5 years. I'm lucky to inherit or buy such a good car, but behind the scenes over the last 3-4 months i have put a lot of time and money making it tip top. I havent done a project thread...
I can't take the stickers off, the wings were lacquered with them still on when the previous owner owned the car :D I don't mind them actually. It could be worse, they could be Monster logo decals!
i nearly submitted a for sale ad this afternoon for the Turinis but bottled at the last minute...
It's on GAZ golds (were on the Clio when I bought it) but waiting on a different set to arrive any day now.
Appreciate the comments so far :) as mentioned track wheels but I like them enough to keep them on now. Now thinking of trading in the Trophy Turinis for another set of 15s
Fitted new rear discs spacers on the RB today, so a perfect opportunity to fit the primer grey OZs and give it a wash. It actually feels a better ride on the 15s than the 16" Turinis so i'm now thinking of getting shot of them.

And check that the spacers (or deflectors as Renualt call them) are present.
Definitely buy genuine Renault rear discs with std pads, front depending on what you do I'd say Brembo HC discs and std pads.
Correct :D
About an hour to flat all 4, half hour to mask the tyres, couple of hours to paint and flat back once, about an hour to lacquer all 4.
Sprayed them in the garden and the store room, a tad windy too :o
As mentioned they're a track wheel at the moment so it's a tidy up, a couple of...
Agreed for going on track, would you say Turinis would be a fair swap for 2118s? Or would Turinis (knowing they're discontinued) hold a higher value than 2118s and OE 182 wheels. I'd put the 182s at the bottom in terms of value but think Renault got it right looks wise with the anthracite colour
With the wheels mentioned what would you put as top, middle and bottom. Or best to worst?
Or in value would you say Trophy Turinis are worth more than the OE anthracite 182 wheel? Speedline 2118 wheels the same value as Turinis? I know there are scenarios like tyre makes so say the 16s had...
I've done enough sets of these over the last 2 -3 years, when a set came up in a breakers yard last week i couldnt say no to buying them but also vowed NEVER to spray any more........... Until i popped in the store room yesterday and saw some paint cans left over. Anyway, i needed 1 tin of...
Pre scrolling down and reading the first post i was thinking Pah, Vauxhall, BUT it's not too shabby. With the black and diamond cut wheels it looks (dare i say it) new shape Megane esque in some ways. With the likes of the Scirroco and Megane maybe they feel they want some of the action. I've...
22mm long here, any good?
