The Canon 17-55mm F2.8 is said to be good for crop cameras as a walkabout lens. Nice range, good performance, constant F2.8 aperture :)

The S is said to have a vastly improved focussing system, just said to be a much more sorted camera :)

Lol! I’ve been saying I've always promised myself I’d get one at some stage, used one in Jessops and it sealed the deal. I’m doing more portraiture and music related work at the moment too so it made sense to have that wow factor look to the images when wide open :)

Should also have mentioned, the 2x Extender is sold.

I think the OP is talking about Dan Freeman’s work with his X100. IIRC the airport had sort of circular dish things on the roof? I quite fancy an X100 myself for a small camera to take around but I couldn’t justify it seeing as I could get another DSLR lens for the price of one.

I think the competition demised because it was just a lapse in how much people were doing anyway, I know that’s the case for me. I went through a period of not really doing much other than shoots I was doing. B&W sounds good to me, I tend to do a bit of B&W stuff.
