Hi guys... thought I’d post these here as they’ve got watchers but no one wants to purchase...
Maybe you’ll know someone that wants to buy some front discs... tell them to make me a decent offer and they’ll get sold... too heavy to keep around the workshop
Car was sold without them, so...
My suggestion would be, go to Corbeau, try all the seats out, then if you think you want to just purchase the Clubsports, swing past @hsustyle ’s place on your way back ???
Nice! From your last update ‘you know when you’ve started something and you wished you hadnt’... I was starting to get worried it would end up like mine........taking months! ???
Here is my 2 pence...
I bought the car and had only one intention for it.. track car.
The car when I bought it needed brakes and it was SORN off the road and had immobiliser issues (needed a UCH, diagnosed by the forum members)
Car - £200
UCH and extras - £100
Brakes - £500
Seats (including...
@Hyperhatch - I’d rather like a set of Red squares in that sort of pattern!
I’ve also thought about triangles in random shades all over... could work...
@Greeny. - that car is way too clean for track purposes! It’s mint! I’d be worried about binning it!
I’m not going to be at CSF I’m afraid, but I just love that this Diagnostic kit will literally do anything I need of it... I have access to VCDS for my Superb and the stuff ive played about with on that has been great.
I’m looking forward to seeing the new engine going in ??
How the actual f**k have you managed to get that done in two sessions!!
The way you were talking about the wiring of that car was scary! You clearly know these things very well and judging by your dash removal, it’s obvious you removed several before!
Completely admire this, as I started...
Oh I’m going to love this thread!!!
But WHY ON EARTH.... have you linked TURBO RENAULT! Here... now I A)have to go and look at their classifieds section.. and B) have to read s**t loads of project threads on turbo stuff.....I’m meant to be going to work soon! Good job I’m my own boss ...
Yes mate, via their eBay shop.
Unfortunately they’ve been a bit long on the replacement but it arrives tomorrow. If this one is bad I don’t know what I’ll do as I need it ASAP
Another update for you all...
So I got down to the Unit late morning and got started by generally just ticking things off the list.
I started a the rear of the car and lowered the rear axle down so that I could fit the Cooksport Springs.
I haven’t ordered or changed the rear shocks as of yet...
The funny thing is... I’d written “did they not fancy serving your beans correctly” in the reply section... then read further on... saw the reply about the beans and went back through the photos because I thought I’d missed something ???
Attention to detail is absolutely perfect on this build...
@Hyperhatch that photo settles my nerves a little bit...
I knew my slam panel was bent, but I thought it was REALLY bent when I was fitting this and I thought it would be a massive problem, hopefully I’ll resolve my issues with the kit shortly.
I think the issue might lay in my hands... I...
The setup that I’ve got is slightly different to the one mentioned on that thread, however the belt that I’ve got would benefit from being a rib thinner.
I’ve got four pulleys, pas delete, Alternator, Waterpump and I guess it’s the drive belt (no idea what it would be named)
Well gents... SOME progress...
Firstly, I got the column out of the way.
Being under the car and fitting the funny shaped bolt for the column was a lot easier than the last one I did.
A) I knew what I was doing this time
B) I’d split the column in two parts so I wasn’t fighting myself...
The Rainsport 3 is a fantastic tyre!
I’ve had them on the Superb and they were brilliant!
If you have a heavy car like my Superb, then you’ll get less mileage out of them than say a Clio would!
I’m currently on Dunlop Sport Maxx RT 2’s and again, great tyre but for the money, they didn’t last...
Usually I’m flat out at work over this weekend but due to tyres not arriving on time... I’m sat here reading these Goodwood updates!
Some of these csrs are so bloody amazing! Keep your photos coming guys ????
I’ve got a trade tyres account and I’m actually better off if I get prices by shopping around online! The trade discount is rubbish in comparison...
Unioyal Rainsport 3? A rated in wet, C rated for fuel efficiency... I can get them at £115 a tyre to your door... Priced better online
Conti’s...
Completely agree mate...
I was silly a few years ago and took a HUGE loan out... it’s nothing I cant afford as we do well enough for ourselves, but it’s a large enough sum every month to stop us doing certain things and at the minute I’d rather have time with my kids when I’m not working...
Small update while I’m here...
A Radiator is on its way... after one forum member didn’t get back to me regarding his Alloy rad, I’ve purchased a standard low mileage one from @JP83 along with a couple of other parts...
The replacement Race Heater should be here this week, the only other thing...
This is so true!
A part of me is frustrated that it’s only seen one track this year, however, I’ve spent a lot more money on it this year than I had planned and I’ve taken the car further than I initially thought I would. Plus, with work at the money I’ve not had the time to get the parts...
It is.. ive suggested it as I bought my car for £200 and all the boys on here said.. CHANGE THE UCH... I go to the parts ordered through a member, and my complete novice of a Clio fettler (at the time) changed the parts and VROOM VROOM! £300 and the thing was running!
I’ve since spent £2k+...
Just buy a UCH, Barrell and Key ECU from someone on here and replace the lot. It’ll solve your problem’s for around £80
No coding, just you getting hands on, it’s easy
