When I repair the rig, we'll have to organise a mini shoot.
errr...not very if Im blunt. But with the help of some more people, they can push the car and it should be a bit better :)
How have to buy a 49 euro license to be able to use it on your car.
Having remapped mine using the RSTuner kit on Saturday, I can say it is a piece of piss to use, takes quite a while, but very easy.
I havent driven it enough to notice huge differences yet, but I may report my findings later...
May as well post this up :)
That's straight out of the camera, you'll probably notice all the crappy processing to try and remove the rig, just remember that these were test shots, so they didnt have much time spent on them :)
EDIT: I tell a lie, thats straight out of the camera, then...
Yeh I wasnt really taking everything into consideration when taking the pics, they were mainly to see if the rig works well on my car.
It was alright, but it did shake a lot! Damn firm suspension, not like my old man's Audi!
You dont have to get properly 'into' it. You can can noticeably better result from just using an Autoglym kit :) Thats what I starting out with, and what a difference after using SRP!
I dont think you can create a personal map. All the files are on the fastchip website, you have to find the ones appropriate to your car.
Q: Where can I find the right engine calibration file for my car?
A:Look at the status bar of the RSTuner screen after connection,to read the vehicle...
Run the cal file that matches the rst file.
6400_2A07.rst
6500_2A08 .rst
6500_5404 .rst
7300_5E10 .rst [Use 7300_xxxx.rst on new style ECU only]
Performance enhanced engine calibrations [write cal]
6400_2A07 RON98 aug 2008 .cal
6400_5402 RON98 aug 2008 .cal
6500_5404 RON98 dec 2008.cal...
I think Im going to have to! You don't happen to be doing a dress rehearsal anytime soon? ;)
Thanks, I use two 500W flashes, each with their own battery, so they are completely portable. I was going to take some 'out-take' shots, but I forgot lol!
lol, didnt expect to see this thread again ;)
I made it myself :)
I bought two suction mounts, and then some alu tubing. I found a way to attach the two, and job done :)
Its not perfect, and its a paint to photoshop out, but it does the job.
The main difference Ive noticed is the much improved idle. It does feel a bit more gutsy mid rev range, but I'll drive it more before I comment on any 'performance increases'.
Oh, and its meant to increase mpg slightly, due to being more efficient, but I havent driven my car enough to notice...
