Then how would the bolts go in at all, Padawan ;)
There's no loading going through a 10 gram plastic washer. It's just to help centralise the wheel before doing the bolts up.
Those ones you've linked aren't made by OZ. Don't waste your money.
Spigot rings only help line the wheels up .. they don't have any loading going through them.
Do the wheels up properly with a torque wrench. IIRC it's about 110Nm for a Clio ? Google it to confirm.. but that's plenty...
Re: dmallett's indecisive clio thread! Monaco ph2 pg1+, Titanium ph1 pg31+, PB ph1 pg
Yup there's still only 22 pages.
Why does anyone have it on any smaller than max posts per page :S
Why is that even an option...
Does it corner the same, left and right ? Does it wander or feel skittish at all ?
Stick your head under the car (jack the rear up if necessary (FTLOG don't use the Renault 'widowmaker' jack !!!! ) ) and look at the shocks. If there's any residue on there, they might well be leaking...
100% on the flat ? Tyres the same size ? Tyre got air in it ?
Shocks standard parts....? They have a tendancy to leak/blow... Does it feel OK to drive ?

If you want to send me a deposit .. I'll take them off this w/e and put my winters on anyway .. more than happy for them to sit in the garage until spring if you want them :)
The cold limit is not 5k ... if it is - you have a problem.
IIRC 6.9 cold and 7.2 hot ? Something like that - only a few hundred RPM less than hot limit.
Install an oil temp gauge if you're interested in that .. or consider using some mechanical sympathy and don't rag its nuts off for the...
T1Rs ? Awful .. really rubbish on track and distinctly average on the road. R1R are a different story ! Depending how often you're going to be hooning on track - I'd run them all the time as track tyres. I wish I did..
I've got Nangkang NS-R2 on mine for dry days .. haven't been brave on...
2 laps of Brands and you've cooked the brakes !?
I've done full days at Bedford on Pagid OEM spec pads/discs and not had an issue. Do you even need brakes at Brands ? :o Are you sure it wasn't the tyres giving up assuming they're road orientated rather than track..?
Avoid Spax like the...
From a family reunion at the weekend .. this one I just like, and actually shot in B&W at the time.
My dear old uncle Jim. Nicest man you'll ever meet .. managed to get him looking like some kind of dodgy east London villain.
