So, the Clio is done mechanically, just done the track rod end and wheel bearing tonight. Spend is now at £241.30 inc buying the car. Left to do is new number plates, £7 and a m.o.t £35 So the total when i dont have to spend anymore money will be £283.30 :cool:

Petrols are poor tbh, go alright when you get them going. mpgs are around the same as a 197/200. Get the dci 106, much better, feel quicker and will do 50+ mpgs

Finished cleaning the engine bay, scuttle and underside of bonnet tonight. Much better, missed the f-ing dipstcik though

Another addition to the Clio, was offerd rear boot lid spoiler for free So i swapped them around today. before After

There is one more tool tou should have used, camshaft pulley locking tool as you have to loosen the pulleys to do the cambelt properly.

Cutting out when turning will be the power steering switch. Its supposed to up the idle when underload to prevent cutting out. What tools were used for the cambelt?

Nah they are all plastic on mk2s, mk1s had glass Sir Daniel. Track rod end has arrived, just waiting on the rear wheel bearing now. By the looks of things its had new brake shoes and front discs and pads fitted within the last year, bonus!!

Got the drivers side headlamp sorted out earlier, the plastic lens had suffered from the usual sun damage and had glazed/pitted over. So, what do i attack it with? ummmmmmmmmmmm Chose this lot. and some compound, polish and wax Heres the headlamp During Before After

Oh yea, these bad boys turned up at work today x4 for £9.18 lol. Im not spending 40 odd quid on genuine ones, so these will do as the ones on there hae gone yellow.:S

Got a bit of cleaning done today and had the head checked by a mate who works for an engineering company and its all ok, staright as a nun. Head set inc bolts orderd today £25 Belts will be getting through work, along with a full service kit. Motrio 5w40 and Renault type d coolant i have already
