So, the Clio is done mechanically, just done the track rod end and wheel bearing tonight.
Spend is now at £241.30 inc buying the car.
Left to do is new number plates, £7 and a m.o.t £35
So the total when i dont have to spend anymore money will be £283.30 :cool:
Petrols are poor tbh, go alright when you get them going. mpgs are around the same as a 197/200. Get the dci 106, much better, feel quicker and will do 50+ mpgs
Cutting out when turning will be the power steering switch. Its supposed to up the idle when underload to prevent cutting out.
What tools were used for the cambelt?
Nah they are all plastic on mk2s, mk1s had glass Sir Daniel.
Track rod end has arrived, just waiting on the rear wheel bearing now. By the looks of things its had new brake shoes and front discs and pads fitted within the last year, bonus!!
Got the drivers side headlamp sorted out earlier, the plastic lens had suffered from the usual sun damage and had glazed/pitted over.
So, what do i attack it with? ummmmmmmmmmmm

I was banned in 2005 for drink driving, had to delare this with insurance companys for 5 years, after that you do not declare it. My DD does stay on my licence for 11 years though from the date of conviction.
Got a bit of cleaning done today and had the head checked by a mate who works for an engineering company and its all ok, staright as a nun.

Checked it out on the ramp and all its needs to pass an m.o.t is a track rod end and rear wheel bearing which will cost me £20 for both parts.
