Clio 200: Renault Specialist West Sussex

I used Rentech over in Portsmouth for both my 172 Cup and 200 from '03 until last year. Little bit of a drive for you but well worth it in terms of price, expertise, and service.

    Collected the JCW GP ...

People to whom £22k for a new sporty Clio is about right. Looks nice Dave...the only Mini I'd own.

    Is this an AMG?

    Ha ha ha, nicely put!

    Is this an AMG?

Yep, not sixty seconds later we were all sat stationery for 5 minutes at the level crossing in the village up ahead. This is why I got the ST2, privacy glass.

    Is this an AMG?

Of course. We established that a year ago, don't you remember?

    Is this an AMG?

This... Does CS think that overtake was completely OTT, or was it a fair one?

    Is this an AMG?

I don't. I've just modified my GoPro casing to take a permanent power lead, and my GoPro itself has been a little temperamental of late, so it's been given a few runs recently to make sure it's working consistently. Upside/bonus is catching the odd r****d on film...which is usually good for...

    Is this an AMG?

True. I'm sure in his mind he won whatever it was he thought he needed to win.
  10. MarkCup

    Is this an AMG?

There wasn't anything to win as far as I could tell. At least he stayed the right way up.

    Is this an AMG?

Thanks, makes sense now...it's a diesel rep-mobile with AMG pretensions...driven by a tool.
  12. MarkCup

    Is this an AMG?

Pretty much. Haven't run the reg through anything yet to check but from the complete absence of any noise coming from it suspected it was something like a diesel AMG wannabe who would appear to have a point to prove to everyone on the road.

    Is this an AMG?

The four exits make me think it is, but I don't ever recall seeing one de-badged.

Mental mk1!!! Here's mine, more than happy with it...

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

Had it on Surrey rolling Road today... Compared to my Clio 200 from February... It really pulls through to the limiter now quite happily. The torque tails off but compared to the Clio, it still has loads more of it, everywhere. Still very happy with it and loving how it now sounds and feels...

My French Pocket Rocket..... well almost

You publicly posted pictures and invited comments on a discussion forum. It's not a discussion if everyone says the same thing...and as said above, maybe you shouldn't post pictures if you're not prepared to accept that (shock horror!!!) some people won't like exactly the same things as you...

Question about helmets for track time...

I've never had a helmet checked in 10 years and I use the basic OMP Clubman too. You should be absolutely fine with it.

    The Chris Harris thread

I imagine he's waiting for Renault to sort their act out...or maybe they're holding back because they know it'll get pasted.

CLIO IV RS - Trophy from page 111

If I had ordered one of these instead of the ST, I'd have probably cancelled it by now as well. As said, all the prospective customers will be rolling in Fords and Peugeots by the time Renault have some kind of meaningful supply volume and a dealer network that actually gives a flying f**k.

Surrey Rolling Road - 31st August

I'm trying to talk my buddy into running his new ST as well but doubt he'll do it with less than 400 miles on the clock. Looking forward to this! A couple of standard STs have run 204/205 on STOC...but I know Charlie's dyno is pretty reliable and consistent so will be interesting to see what...

197's/200's really that bad on fuel

I agree. A more highly strung version of the same engine in a heavier and larger body mean they're always going to suffer fuel wise...so for me, the performance just about warrants the worse fuel economy. If you can't ever get to use the performance though (i.e. your commute is stuck in...

    MarkCup's Fiesta ST

Ginger! Black works much better at the rear...try as I might I still can't get along with the coloured lower rear bumper...it looks like such a teenage afterthought. At least on the black it's sort of hidden away.
