My mate picked his black one up this morning...he's on his way to me now...complete with orange interior! Looks great.
Look forward to hearing your Mountune thoughts N0ddie.
A little update here now having had covered just about 4,000 miles in 2.5 months and given it its first trackday...
MPG took the expected knock from a day spent thrashing around Goodwood...
I'm pleased to say that throughout the whole day, giving it as much pain as I ever did to either of my...
As N0ddie said, £1,000 gets you half leather and heated seats, privacy glass, projector headlights with LED daytime running lights, keyless button start, and the upgraded Sony audio/DAB/media unit.
Spoiler is staying, it's just no longer a stand-alone option for all other Fiestas.
I followed a Mk4 for a good few miles along a b-road this afternoon...obviously wasn't a 200T, but it reminded me why I originally wanted one so much...from behind they look fantastic.
Would still happily have one on the drive instead of the ST.
No. If I had, would I have skills too then?
Had no idea who the driver was, I just saw terrible hand positioning on the wheel (kind of important when you have a car that difficult to keep in a straight line) and one hand seemingly glued to the gear stick....which I've never understood myself.
GoPro HD2, 1080/30, medium FOV, mounted on a B. Hague headrest strut mount and running an external stereo microphone. Not happy with the audio so looking to upgrade that at some point.
Was doing 1:39s all day long Jon...didn't think that too bad at all when my stripped 172 Cup on soft A032s...
Fordwater apex is circa 110-115 depending on how brave I am entering Madgwick, most I ever saw in the 200 was 111. Seems to reach peak speeds 3-5mph more before braking than I did in the 200.
Goodwood is a unique place, not been sanitised since it was built so very fast and f*** all run off. I...
Will do Gally. Performed well on Saturday, wore through 1.5mm on the fronts...they're now at 5.5 and all's good so far.
Nice one N0ddie, saw your post on stoc, great result. At least the nav was free...sod paying £400 for it!
It's as it left the factory, so standard pads (that didn't suffer the slightest hint of fade all day long) and Bridgestone RE050 tyres.
Mountune will feature for me at some point, but right now, I'm enjoying it exactly as it is.
They're taking an age to render with the dash overlays I'm putting on...and I'm away for this week at some pikey holiday resort with probably the worst gratis wifi ever.
Thanks for putting those up Christopher.
Looking at my wheels this morning my tyres have worn a little (measurements to follow) but after a full day of pounding around, there's barely any brake dust on on the front wheels. I measured pad thickness beforehand so will see where they're at now...
For anyone interested I can report that the ST's on track capabilities are at least as good as the 200.
2 sessions done so far at Goodwood today and it's doing everything well, brakes have held up here like my 200's Brembos never did.
Videos to follow and I can run some back to back...
LOL - that's about 10 people across the forums I frequent that have test driven one and then gone on to order in the last week...and that's versus NO new Clios ordered.
I guess people are starting to see the point I've been trying to get across all along...and that is simply that they just feel...
