Between yourself and the previous owner ( @NaplesValver ?) and the documented work done on the car I'd say it's one of the safest to blind buy.
Still think you should just keep it though ??.
Could have, but the services and mileage were listed in the ad and it only said belts done at the 70odd k service?. Full service history, just not serviced right?. When I bought mine the seller said belts were done 30k ago so are good. They were 5 years old but he wouldn't have it they were due...
I did think the engine looked like it had been attached to a boat for a while?. I guess with the body freshly painted the mechanicals will all be powder coated to keep up then?
Yeah 75k is probably below average now, anything under would probably add a premium. Beware the cambelt on thiow milers though. The black one linked earlier that was around 75k had the cambelt done on mileage in 2016 or 17, it's 72k OR 5 years for the belt! 7 years overdue was very lucky imo.
My xenons don't seem very bright sometimes. Driving under LED street lamps it looks like I've not got my headlamps on at all, but then on a dark mortorway or B road all alone they are more than bright enough. Changing the temp of the bulb just changes the colour output not the brightness...
Wasn't this up for sale on Facebook a dozen times last year at a similarly optimistic price? Or was that the carbon dipped monstrosity sister car? This needs storing for 10 years before it'll command £9999.
I've probably spent £500ish on repairs in 3 years ownership and I use my 182 daily and have done 35k in that time. They don't all need a grand+ as soon as you get home. If you want to take away a much stress as possible @Landyman car had to be the best option.
I look forward to meeting you at csf @SharkyUK .
Personally I wouldn't be worried about using le b*****d rouge when it's finished. Yeah turbo clio's can be high maintenance but I'd wager not many have been engineered to this standard. A bit of shakedown and adjustment and I reckon it will be...
Just wait until you've got a wide, kids, a dog, a list of house jobs on a big roll, a night job, are old and fucked and an old clio getting in the way of getting pissed and playing games in your pants.
