Took a trip over to Media city last week after the skate park visit. Started to rain and I was getting tired. Also got lost a few times when looking for somewhere to park.
Probably a very normal shot from there but I quite like it, especially in B&W.

The prices have been fluctuating this week, one day it was 369 + vat, then 309+ and now its 349+

Ended up getting a Dell Vostro for £303 + VAT (in the business section of the website)
Inter i5, 500gb drive, 4gb ram (bought another 4gb from crucial for £25), windows 8 pro.
Fast enough for me, 4 USB 3.0 slots, HDMI output, decent graphics card too.
Maybe? I was never a skater, always preferred two wheels. Thought it was a board slide though. Or is a tray a flip? I was just there to try to get some pics.
TBH, I cropped it quick and kept the proportions, that's why the steps have gone.
I need to get in to a better position next time though, but I was limited with using a fixed lens and not getting in the way of other skaters.
The guy in the first picture is sponsored (he also works there) and was just messing around last night!
The one in yellow had only just learned the b/s board slide (I think) and had landed a few before I took some pictures, he didn't land the flip though.
The other guy was trying lots, not...
Cheers guys.
There's two parts, an older side made from wood and the new concrete section which only opened this week I think.
Looks a great place to bomb around though. Projekts its called.

Nice!
Just had a look at the site, seems pretty decent too with a good variety of images.
Might submit a few that people have already asked me for for their wallpapers.
Took a trip to Manchester yesterday. A mate of a mate runs the sate park by Picadilly so we went to take a few pictures before heading to Media city. As I was sorting my gear out, I noticed my flash had broke :( Took it apart to find one of the wires had come loose from the circuit board which...
The only time I really try to use higher f numbers is when I need a longer exposure and don't have access to a filter.
Will have a proper read of that later on though when I'm on the laptop.
Nice pictures. I agree about the DOF though. You should try to find some drumsticks too for him. And then make a stop start animation with the music!
The post from above maybe?

That's lovely Brazo. Nice clean lines and strong colours.
Took these tonight on my way home, blistered my finger in the process. I had an ND filter as it was still fairly light, will be going back there one evening though, hopefully without the ND, the colours will be a bit better...
Very quick play in Lightroom, looks brighter but I've lost some image quality I think. As Im on the boat sand my internet is so poor, I only took the medium 800 file.
If you can get a copy of Lightroom then do it. Shoot in RAW and put them straight to that. So much more control over the final...
Firstly, have a read of the stickies at the top of the photography page. Will give some valuable information.
You shot one (maybe all) at f11 and ISO of 400.
Try shooting in AV mode, bring the f number down to 4 (or lower if you can, can't remember what the kit lens goes down to). Try auto...
Cheers mate.
I had already corrected the verticals, the lighthouse is actually leaning towards the sea though. Has annoyed me many times.
As for getting lower, I need to invest in a new tripod as that's the lowest I can go at the moment. Might make a waterproof bean bag actually so I can get...
If they help me I'll help you /anyone on here.
One of the guys has just built a wind turbine and its run with an arduino, he's had to code that and told me that my little project should be easy!
That's helped me, cheers foxy!
I'm going to show a couple of guys in work who are well in to arduino , they can point out what I will need, help me with the coding if I decide to go that route. I just need to get the frame and dolly sorted this week then I'll see what's what.
If only it will be clear here tonight. We have been having crap weather recently. Last night was OK ish but clouded over pretty quick. Dont fancy an hour drive inland to find out its cloudy (again!). Might get out with the wool though.
Look forward to your shots though guys.
Stopped off at the lighthouse on the way home yesterday. Ten stop filter. Should have left it a bit longer I think though.

Small bump.
How much did you pay for your Sony?
I'm looking at an i5 Dell, but have also seen Lenovo's for pretty good prices (sub £500 I'm looking at)
Only thing thats putting me off a lot of machines is Windows 8. A lot of bad reviews from what I've read saying its more suited to tablets...
This is what I'm thinking of making.
Just need some rails welding and to make the dolly unless I come across something in the meantime.
I had a beginners motor gear kit form Maplins a while back and quickly put together a little winch with it but I am now looking at them motors and board...
I'd go for the Haida ten stop personally. Gives that extra bit and its cheaper than the 9.
Some reviews from talk photography http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=337439
Cost me less than £50 for a 77mm one from ebay. Not had any issues with it really (the thread was a bit...
Nice ^^
I've just ordered some parts. Going to make the dolly out of alu, using bearings as wheels running along some box section, just need to buy that and make the frame. It will sit centrally on one tripod I think.
I have a motor set up but I think I'll start again with a programmable...
