Thanks for giving me a heads up on that. I'll check carpro out and see how they go. I think I like the idea of the sub box because it's a surprise. However, if you didn't reorder any of the stuff you got in the box, it's hardly worth it!
From what I can gather, Waxybox has all but finished. Another couple have come up that ive seen. "becauseracecar" is one. Not sold on the name but the previous boxes look ok.
In terms of what I want to try, its nothing mega complicated. New snow foams/shampoos, waxes and so on.
Hi all,
I am new to detailing and just want to get my hands on a few sample products to see what I like etc etc. I have read hours and hours of reviews but I would like to actually try some products for myself.
Alas, I have been considering a subscription box as a cheaper way (and more...
I have the Autobrite Direct one. My first snow foam lance so cant comment on others but its brilliant. Only slight issue ive had is that the metal fixing is beginning to cross thread the plastic bottle.
Alright guys. Ive got a titanium Silver 182 with what I would consider to be med - light swirls. Doesnt appear its been repainted at any stage. What colour CG Hex Logic pads should I be using?
When I did a disk and pad replacement a little while ago, I reused the bolts no problem. Im no expert by any means but I went to K-Tech and bought all the bits and they didnt recommend changing the bolts. However, in my experience, when it comes to brakes, if its worth doing its worth over...
Hi Guys,
Just purchased another 182 and just wondered if the previous owner was on here. The car is covered in cliosport.net stickers and has the card slotted into the air vent in front of the steering wheel.
If you know who might have owned it, let me know!
Cheers in Advance
lol. Im amazed he didnt reply with the second word being 'off'.
Ill put a wanted thread up in the next few days. Or lurk in the shadows till something local comes up. Im in no rush. Thanks for the help
Thats exactly it. He needs someone who isnt aware. Unfortunately for him, this isnt my first rodeo so I know the costs. I've also had a cambelt snap on me and dont fancy that happening again.
Its always hard to tell on how tidy it is on pictures. It seems tidy enough but not mint as such. If I...
No, I went straight in at £800. I said that I would come and view it providing we were in the ballpark.
I agree though. These cars arent rare as such. Plenty around. That being said, most of them are a fair ride away
Hes having none of it lol. He suggested we both save time and that I look at another car. Fair enough I suppose. I'm in no rush. I'll keep an eye out for something else. Who's got something for sale?
I've sent him the offer. I've said that I don't wanna be another *insert insult* and offer him money sight unseen. But that is where I'm thinking and if he wants to tango then I'll go see it this weekend. Thanks for the advice mate
Very good point lol. Judging by the listing it was done 4 years ago but I'm checking as we speak. It's the darker blue (not RB) I'm not sure what its called. Cheers for the price guide. Anyone else wanna give their opinion on price?
That's what I was thinking. He says it's only occasional crunch. But. I'm planning on visiting the track so that's hardly ideal. That being said, a refurbished gearbox is circa 250. But swapping them out isnt exactly fun. What would you consider to be a realistic price?
Looking to buy a 182 again. Seen one for sale locally that's done approx 95k, all the necessary engine work was completed 15k ago. Decent condition. Omp wheel. Mot history looks ok (new mot in July required). Last mot shows some corrosion underneath the car and on suspension (I'll be fitting...
Not quite. Again I'm not entirely sure. Basically the aux belt snapped and was flapping around in the engine bay. Think drunk people fighting. It upper cut the cambelt a few times and that was it. Game over. That's the theory anyway! You can imagine my disappointment at it going so soon. Just...
That's exactly what happened. Well, that's what the mechanic said as he pulled the mangled aux belt out of all the pulleys. Was a sad moment indeed. Apparently it was rubbing against a piece of firewall which does nothing much at all. Except cost me lots of money!
Not my best day! Lol

Not so much scaremongering as previous experience. The cambelt snapped on my previous 182 after just 20k miles and 2 years. All genuine parts used etc etc. Bad luck maybe but after that horrible feeling when you hear the snapping and scraping noise is one I dont fancy again

Funny you say about cambelts. Enquired on 2 Trophys in the last couple of days. One of the dealers, who shall not be named, suggested I drive the 250 mile home with a cambelt well overdue......

I agree entirely. I didn't want to post a leading question but its 'just' a standard clio. You are so right. What's going on with these at the moment. Is everyone thinking theirs is collectable?

Nice car that though. I've been looking at it. What do you think of the price though? I felt it was a bit strong but I've been away from these cars for a while

TBH yours is absolutely lush. Its near on exactly how I would want mine. But you are right, you are so far away. Plus, you've already done all the things I plan to do to my new one! Takes some of the fun out of it. However, if I didnt want to do all that and had unlimited time I would be...
