Building a car from scratch is getting a Westfield/Caterham and doing that. Taking a mass produced french hatch and swapping panels/engine over isnt from scratch...? To echo what Russ said, if and when you go to sell it, someone will want a genuine one over one thats been 'fettled'

The Lambda sensors can be changed round Luke but ideally id just change the down stream one as the one plugged into the cat doesnt ​really do anything.

Could be anything really. Id look at a misfire first off, they seem to go through coil packs/plugs/ht leads etc and so on.
