lol, some epic wheels choices in here so far !!
Liking these though tbh:
Although i am a little concerned with how good these look :o
Was never a real fan of hockenheims tbh, i was more of a Evo R fan, flipping epic wheel/car combo!!
I've bought some TSW Stealths, & im going to have them as my spare wheels for the Trophy.
As such, & purely as the rest of the Trophy owners hate me for messing with such a rare beast of almost Ferrari F40 awesomeness, & never cleaning it, i would like to spray them pink 1st - or another...
lol ... i will shortly be winning the 'worse brightly coloured wheels on a clio ever' prize soon ...
I have acquired some TSW Stealths, from 1994, which i will be spraying pink (with Halfords finest spray cans), & fitting to the Trophy over the next few weeks :dead:
They are very, very rare!!
According to Speedline they made a one-off batch of 24 wheels for a company called Frazer Nash Research in Surrey. The wheels are 6x15 Type 2118 with 4x100 pcd, ET30 offset and 70mm centre bore.
He should stop farting about with the 200 & finish the sodding 106, again, imho.
Sounds like an interesting project though, is the gearbox on the 200 different to the 197, which iirc is made of cheese.
You. Are. Bonkers.
Can i have the shell though? Could reshell the Trophy into it, just so that i could have ropey looking blue & pink clio, on TSW Stealths (which i have) complete with battle scars, for extra man points.
www.cliotrophy.co.uk would love it.
ROFL.
Yeah, they did, in which case BMW fixed it FOC as far as im aware, its when the warranty ran out that the trouble started, bit like previously with the 'Nikasil issue' & Audi with the 2.0 Tdi engine failures, they had/have a habit of saying 'bugger off' - hence the introduction of the blanks to...
Having removed the swirl flaps, thought i'd do a quick write up, in laymans terms to explain what they do/how they fail, etc.
The flaps are designed to create a 'swirl' or 'tumble of air' to aid better combustion under light load and subsequently help with driveability in low load conditions...
Not so sure tbh, you forget that the poncy wheels & seats in a Trophy sell for £1250 themselves .... leaving you a lot of money to buy normal wheels/Bimarcos if you're turning it into a track car anyway ... ;)
Then if you dont like the Sachs, you can get rid of that for £500 as well ...
By oldskool i mean the way it drives/offers feedback to the driver, not that it unreliable lol ...
I have a Trophy, purely because its flipping brilliant.
