I spotted a cavalier turbo today. My mates dad had a gsi way back when and I loved the way it looked. Not so sure now though [emoji23].
On the finance thing, 22 years ago I got £16k on finance to buy a car and all the old gits at work ribbed me about spending so much on a used car. One of the...
Welcome to Cliosport Dan. Monaco is such a nice colour, the standard 172 wheels suit it but more so in anthracite imo.
You're absolutely correct in regards to the driving position, seat too high and wheel needs reach adjustment. If you're planning on keeping it and going coilovers bilstein B14...
Only reason for him not to pay the £80 up front is he worried you'll take it and then claim on his insurance. You may never even think of doing such a thing but there are some right c***s about there.

There's a few of @chris blue and one of @Cerrone I spotted in there.
?? We will have to set up a group pm at csf so we can communicate clearly. So many wrong accents ?. At least I could talk proper to @mossyv6 and @nath&alex today?
Did @Ali get home in one piece?
We had a great turnout today, the show in general is definatly on the decline though but these occasions are great to meet and catch up with cliosporters. Nice to meet @nath&alex and err, dam? Dim? @Cerrone what's that ginger guy called again? ?
Cars all clean inside but it looks like it's going to piss it down any moment now so I'm holding off washig it. I'll probably be doing it in 30° heat tomorrow.
Ah OK, what I meant was if you liked the clio because of the 5k kick, and the build of power at high revs and sharp throttle response it will lose some of those traits once boosted. Yes it will be much faster, but it won't drive the same. If its the handling that you like most about the clio...
Yeah that. Have you owned a turbo hot hatch? If not I'd go test drive a few, meg or vxr anything from the last 10 years or so. The way they build speed is nothing like a na 182 so if you like the 182 a blown one may not be as appealing as you imagine.
Just seems a lot of people who boost them sell up not long after. They will be noticeably quicker, but I think it's the difference in power delivery that probability puts people off. Don't think there's any reliability issues other than clioturbo but cars.
Shame about the 5, bit of an odd excuse but at least you're not out of pocket. Are there any blown clios near you you can have a test of? They are very different to a na one.
