My work radio has DAB written on it. How do I use this function?!
Do I need an Ariel?
I'm fucked off with radio one and with the normal Ariel it's the only station I can pick up cleanly.
Give him the v5, but you send off the export slip. It's the purple bit on the v5. Very straight forward.
It will get collected on a 10 car transporter so it won't be going through any speed cameras or anything.
If his name is Luke and his surname begins with M, he's legit. I've dealt with him.
He transfers the money to the transport company, they pay you cash on collection.
Nice guy and very easy to deal with.
He's starting a trackday business out there.
Re: The life of... SharkyUK's Trophy [& Fred's V6]
That's a mere blip buddy. At least the rolling road didn't burn down and at least it didn't make it due to a fault with the car.
Chin up old bean. X
It can get more and more rotten, the blokes on to a winner. I saw a rotten, and I mean a complete pile of rust, no panels on it, mk1 escort sell on eBay the other week for just over £10,000. Admittedly it was the chassis plate and the V5 that made it worth that but then this car has both of...
I bought it off a middle aged bloke from Essex. It was his daily for 7 years or something daft.
I bought it for a bit of memory lane fun as I had a few when I was younger, and prior to that my dad had one. but the fact it came up so well after a good clean has meant i now want to keep it.
Boot floor is like brand new and that's not an exaggeration! I'll grab some more pics when the suns out.
It's a tiny bit scabby round the back arches and it needs a new battery tray. Apart from that, and a fucked door from an attempted break in, it's as new. Underneath has never been welded...
DK cars and bikes in fishponds. I'm on my phone so can't link but google him.
I recently used someone else (for cost reasons) and i won't make that mistake again! Lol.
Loads. Been using him 10+ years and he's the only one I'd ever use. There's a thread on here, search 'restoration man Naples' on here and there's a thread of my mk1 that he completely painted.
DK cars and bikes in Fishponds, Bristol. He isn't cheap (£50 per wheel plus vat) but he is very very good.

I'm not as experienced as most on here but i'll throw my 2p in...
Megs endurance is the best tyre dressing imo. Lasts bloody ages!
SRP is better than triple (imo!)
Autoglym plastic dressing is a bit pony too. The first drop of rain will see it all running down your paintwork. Not durable...
The last track day I did (Llandow) my ds2500's crumbled to bits after 3 laps. Literally fell out of the caliper.
We went to Halfords and bought their own brand pads for £23 and between me and my mate, the car was out all day and we didn't have fade once! I'd certainly give them a go before...
It needs a cambelt next year (he probably won't have it by then) and I fitted new (generic euro car parts) discs and pads to get rid of the advisories on the MOT.
If I was in his shoes, i'd buy 4 decent matching tyres, fit uprated discs pads and fluid and just enjoy it. It's more than tidy for...
The biggest thing I have to remind myself when using my DA is to remember to let it spin. So many times I get caught up in the moment and end up pressing too hard and then voila, it's doing sweet fcuk all.
I personally think that practice is first priority and then product is second. Because I...
