Seems to be held in nicely by the elbow and just sits ontop of the radiator fan cowling from what i remember?

can you not use the OE air elbow?

if it was just water in the exhaust it wouldnt smell sweet though, the sweet smell comes from the burning of the ethylene-glycol in the coolant

According to autodata 1.7 litres required for 2.0 clios fitted with ABS, i used about 1.5litres when i changed mine irrc

no idea on price, depends if it needs a new waterpump / head skimming / replacement belts, if its coming out of the exhaust it definitely sounds like coolant is getting into the combustion chamber or exhaust somehow, maybe the gasket is seeping slightly or like i said there could be a hairline...

is it actually coming out of the tailpipe? If so would definitely suggest head gasket or possibly a hairline crack in the head / block

Does the display still light up when you turn the engine on? or does it now only light up when you activate the headlights? Mine popped a fuse randomly the other day CD player and display both stopped working, display would only light up when i turned the headlights on. was lucky mine still...

Its just a common culprit for poor fuel economy, sorted mine and BigDaves fuel economy right out when we changed ours, getting the injectors tested and cleaned isnt a bad shout either!

You've lost me, i use 2 of these per seat then eye bolts in the original seatbelt + isofix points.

About 2.15ish , heading towards the A31 looked like it had a tow strap on the front!

+1, I had a noise similar to the one you describe on the Trophy, down bumpy roads / over potholes it would chirp / creak, changed the ARB bushes for powerflex ones and the noise has buggered off!

If the economy's that bad I'd check/replace the pre-cat lambda sensor
