Re: My Pink One..
Just for the lols:
It gets driven, & it gets driven hard. 172k miles & counting.
Mud is courtesy of the field at Haynes, which was perfect for handbrake turns ;)
Slot is 9-10pm. Cant get it any earlier :(
I'll pop over to yours for about 6.30 ish then, will probably take me an hour to get there based on recent traffic lol
I currently have some clio fitment 2118's, so et43, 4 x100 pcd & centre bore of 60.1.
How would i go about fitting these to an Mx5 with similar ET & pcd, but with a centre bore of 54.1?
Some sneeky f*ck block-booked it for the past few weeks (hence we havent been able to get a pitch), but i've got our slot back for next Tuesday!!
Pub after work this evening instead maybe?
Here are mine, have also got a few of Nick, Ollie & James' that i'll upload in a mo.
Re: tyre wear, i didnt really see much at all tbh, obviously not made of lard like the 200 ;)
Gave the mobile hair saloon a quick wash & dry the other day, so took some pictures for posterity - its not often that i get the bucket & wash mit out these days :o Anyway, its a pretty colour ...
Terrible image if you're a bloke (luckily i couldnt give a rats ar5e), but a...
Pah, i'll fit it at Brands then, do a few sessions without it, then do a few with it on - should be able to give proper feedback on it then. You know me, would rather speak from experience than rumour ...
Havent fitted the ARB yet lol, not sure if i can be bothered either tbh, T feels like a go-cart compared to the TT anyway!! In fact, id go as far as to say thats its really bloody good as it is, much prefer the 15's with T1R's on track, especially in the wet - no grip = great fun :D
I've got...
Oh, just some random Germans from what i recall, think they took a pic of the lake & sneekily got her in the pic as well ... no doubt its in some dodgy 'private' collection now.
I've had a 182 with cup-packs, a 172 cup and 2 x Trophys.
To be brutely honest, they'll all roughly the same - its all down to what budget you have & what bargain becomes available.
I wouldnt say no to any of them, they're all the same with a bit of tinkering, which lets be honest, 99% of...

(now owned by Luke_89)...
Ah, see im always a tad weary of those ones, purely as everytime ive been to see cars like that its been a dodgy looking Asian selling from a council house ... 2 minutes looking at a nail and im off before i get stabbed lol.
You need better pics & more of them, detail the history, etc...
But surely by removing all the weight, & as such lowering the centre of gravity, his Fiat will handle better in the twisties as well? Maybe even have a 172 Cup?
Not entirely sure why the rear seat belts need to be done up though lol. Just take them out if you're going hardcore on it!!
Confirmed people are the same as previously, as per pm's :)
Full details of the trip will be available once i receive them, hopefully within the next month or so now!! Costings should be roughly what i put in the original post though, + a few percent for inflation i guess.
Unfortunately...
Its not a race.
You drive it for fun, so just do it like a B road you dont know.
Or you will crash. At which point, ill give you £500 for your 172, so i can break it for parts.
