The oils gotta be going somewhere, it can't just disappear. Have you tried seeing if it is burning oil, like blue smoke out the exhaust? Or do you have a oil leak from the sump or something?
Unsure and the oil light flashing up on the dash tho, could have been a faulty sensor..?
That bottom end is f**ked!!! Head on the other hand if its not cracked, then maybe can be rebuilt with new valves and valve steam oil seals!! But all depends how it went bang! 7000rmp or 1000rmp?
You can still buy the bracket to go over the circlip that you need to drill onto the diff on eBay but iv been told they need to be really balanced with the diff to stop uneven pressure on the diff bearings. Take the n/s (passenger) drive shaft off and see if you can see it, it's not hard to miss...
Mine went the other week, I throw the circlip into my box and ripped first gear to bits and blow the diff up!! I would take the n/s drive shaft off and have a look to make sure the circlip is there and not fallen in to the diff!! I paid £5 for the circlip and washer from Renault.
