As mentioned earlier in the thread, we thought the new engine was on similar mileage to my current one.
Current engine is on 86k and the new one:
Happy days
I went out to get fuel a few miles from home one time and I set it on full hard just see.... The ride home was very hard!
I was impressed with them when @TheEvilGiraffe took me out in he's ph1 with them on. Well recommended for the price and the adjustability on height and damping as well as...
Lovely. There's a nice corkscrew on my way to work and its great for chucking it into a bend. I'd like to give it more anger but my tires let it down imo. (Michelin PE2's)
It's also a daily so I have it set 2-10 from soft, depending on what I fancy. Once I get decent tyres, I'd like totry and...
Is your gearbox being refurbed? And yes you are very much correct lol.
New engine, with belts, pulley and water pump all done last year.
@dmallett I know, minimal damage really.
It got rear ended and written off, but it was not that bad tbh. One mans loss is another man's gain
Went to see Alex recently as i dropped off some bits to him. As mentioned, the doner 172 is now on the drive:
Along with a few others:
First time ive had a look over the Exclusive and the engine looks in decent condition. Going to take a few bits off the doner 172 as they are in better...
Get Snappy to do it Dan. Black perforated leather with blue alcantara top. Then sell it to me when you sell the car! ;)
Toby, its off the exclusive i bought ;)
As mentioned above with regards to the height adjustment. I really like my BC's and i like the fact that the damping adjuster is at the top of the struts f+r meaning no kneeling on wet roads to alter them, and the fact the adjuster can be unscrewed once set if you dont want them on.
Fully soft...
I had the vmaxx on my 182 from new for nearly 2 years. Mine was a daily, never saw track. I didn't actually mind the ride. Could be bumpy, but not uncomfortable. They went quite low. However the rear shocks aren't that strong. Mine gave up after a year so I ran with cup rear shocks, but still...
As above. If the bearings are knackered I would of got these fixed first over new wheels, etc.
Get them changed and see if it still persists. Regardless, they'll need doing.

Admittedly low milage for a ph1, but price seems excessive to me.
