Couple of very minor updates before tomorrows track day, wether permitting as it's not a good forecast over the circuit 😧
Flocked mirror interior covers and A pillars, as a test to see what the quality is like. Actually very difficult to take pics of them with a phone!
Finally got a...
the harnesses come with unf eye bolts, I used one with a nut to attract to my seat base which has a tab welded on, then you need an M10 to screw into the car where the or belt was bolted
The rears are the standard unf eyelets into the or mounting points
Just to close this off in case it helps anyone else..... I was able to find an O ring for the fuel rail, fitted and took it out for a blast......still the bloody same :tired: Fuel pressure and compression check out, I thought I'd take a punt and bought a Tdc sensor, adapted the original plug to...
Well it's been the first day I've had a chance to dig deeper into this. Thanks to @MicKPM for the pointers......I think I've found my problem. One of the O rings at least he fuel rail has seen better days and the connector is sitting a bit c**k eyed.
Is there a special O ring I need to buy or...
http://www.caraddiction.co.uk/sld5.htm I'm interested in this too. Do you have to run a wire out to the coil pack or pick a signal wire off the Rev counter? At £80 it's one of the cheaper units out there but also one of the better looking ones, if it actually works, I'm on it
Oi, hands off! :tonguewink: I've a lovely 'Devil' one here for you I just removed :dizzy:
I'll certainly ask if he has others
Just had 2 888s fitted ready when I kill the Nankangs, which I'm impressed with although didn't do much on them. I've never used 888s so looking forward to...
don't really want to think about compression lol
I did think of some kind of fuelling issue. Is my next step to somehow read the fuel pressure at the rail?
Last month I had a misfire, live data and code thrown seemed to support the front o2 sensor at fault. That was changed for a new Bosch item, plugs look good, but cleaned and gapped anyway, new leads, new coil pack, injectors all read just over 14 Ohms. It's still there, stray over 6k rpm and...
I bought TRS Magnums, 3" belt 4 point, and I've just bought crotch belts to make them 5 point. £186 a pair from Montgomery motorsport, most places charge £120+ each for them!
The 1st track day in mine I had the fogs removed, nothing else done and my brakes were on fire :fearscream: Added the ducting and deflectors and they take all the abuse I can throw at them
I kept mine in, it does expose the crank pulley/aux belt on the drivers side, not sure that's such a. If deal on a track car though. I just cut 100mm holes and ran duct to deflector plates for brake cooling.
Sorry, it's not pretty and clean..... Just functional
