    Recommendations for new speakers?

If you haven't changed your HU, there's barely any point. The amp in the HU is what drives the speaker - changing the speaker isn't going to achieve much. Change the HU (decent enough alpine/pioneer etc), stick a sub in the boot, cut the low freq's to the door speakers and you're done...

    Diesel clio any good

Are you looking to save cash or get a new car ? Spending a few grand on a newer car to save £100 on insurance isn't going to make you richer ;) I'd have thought you get 40-45mpg all day long in your 1.2, especially in a long commute (assuming you're not sat at 110 all the way there !) -...

    Sell it, or break it??

Ahh my bad .. read the first paragraph about 14 times and I think you're right. Well, I guess it depends how much you want/need for it, and how much time/effort/ballache you can be bothered to put in ? You might be able to make £2k or more if you break it and are lucky that people want...

    Tram line feel

What tyres are on there ? What condition are they in ? Checked pressures ? What size wheels have you got on there ? Tramlining generally comes from over-size wheels, i.e.: 17's on a clio, 19+ on a BMW etc.. Check shocks as suggested. Have you had the geometry checked ? Have you...

    Tips n Tricks?

The feeling of half the useable power falling out the back of the exhaust as noise pollution ? Brilliant. Key to having a car which barely produces 60hp at max revs is not to let the world you've only got 60hp... Nothing amuses me more than cars like this making all the noise in the world...

Best thing to remove brake dust

Pop a pic up ? Are you sure it's brake dust ? IronX should remove it, presuming it is actually brake dust ! Bilberry is a safe brake-dust remover too .. IronX should easily remove it though as it's far harsher than billbery.

Need help with buying new tyres.

UniRoyal RS2's are £59 each (£63 delivered) at CamSkill... but then you're still looking at £10 a corner at least to have them fitted. Pretty sure 205s are actually cheaper in W over V rating too and over 195s as well, so look about and see what's best for you. Bearing in mind they're the...

    Detailing Garage For Hire

Doesn't sound like a great idea really when you think about it ... He needs to know what it'll cost him (variable (i.e.: rates of bills and rough use) and fixed (i.e.: the rent, insurance, tax (this is legit, right?) and costs of lifts etc)) before he can make a decision. You say it's his own...

Cut the bass to the fronts via the HPF/LPF on the head unit, let the sub do the heavy stuff. Job done.
