    AppleTv Remote

I have one and it's ace. IMac is in the office and ATV is in the front room. Music streaming is ok but I mostly use it for Netflix

    Help ?!?!

Take the inlet off and remove it !? :S

    Drives horrible.

Call Fred in a few days when he's back in and ask him. Could be a slow puncture, crap tyres, knackered shocks or possibly a duff rack but why bother replacing when you don't know what's up ? Might be a simple fix and you'll be home in no time !

FFS one thing onto the next... Locking wheel bolt

FLOL Either you didnt have that seated correctly, or they're made of cheese. Send them back and get a refund. Does any body steal wheels any more ?! I'm pretty sure I could get all I needed in Halfords or ScrewFix to combat any 'locking' nut anyway.

Bloody hell ! Cheaper than a regular one haha :o

    Heated front screen

Road car heated front screens are tiny wires inbetween the layers of glass that are laminated to make your screen. As it was never an option, my bet would be a one off job only which would cost you more than the car is worth ! The only other thing you could do is do it like the rear window...

    TV help

You've got black lines top and bottom - I bet they make up the missing 280 lines ;) It's a download in .mkv meaning it'll be compressed. BRs are about 20-30GB unless they're dual layer and that's doubled ;) If youve got a file that's less than 10% original size, you're going to see losses...

    Surround Sound Advice

Get down to your local Richer Sounds branch and speak to the staff in there. If you can, get to one with a demo room ! Is this for your front room, bedroom or what ? My KEFs sound borderline naff in my poxy newbuild dinky front room with "wooden" floor and cardboard walls, but in my last...

Reaosnably priced DSLR with good ISO sensor in it? Nikon

I think you're trying to run before you can walk ... I've had an SLR since I was about 10 (still got my old Zenit thing which was 30 yrs old when I was given it!!) and now with advanced DSLRs, I let the camera do the work for me ! I normally shoot Aperture priority as there's no point taking...

From Turkey Clio RS 182(ME) vs Clio RS 172

Turkey .... Anyone ever driven out there ? I'd say that was some pretty good driving compared to most out there. After a week out there for work, I felt like I could drive around the UK with my eyes shut and I'd feel safer than the roads out there. Properly horrifying TBH !

What size speakers can I fit into the Clio

Trust me .. there's no point spunking cash on the speakers - they are already components so you can't get better setup and they're well matched too, obviously. Before you buy a sub, turn the filters on as mentioned, cut the bass to the front (200Hz and below) and crank it up .. they will be...

Don't get drilled discs. They always crack ! Try G172 or Wests on here...

    ph1 Air-con didn't work, now does but..

If you were driving, the windchill at 50+mph is pretty intense.. depending where the sensor is, it might think it was below the cut-off zone.... who knows ! Good luck !

    Clio Trophy or 182 ff?

Buy whatever you can afford... you sold the mk3 to save money, remember ? ;) Oh no .. I'd have to block her then as I could not cope with a new media thread every week entitled "Still haven't had to polish the car".
  26. TheEvilGiraffe

    ph1 Air-con didn't work, now does but..

They're right - the compressor on any modern car will not run under certain temps... something like 4deg C. I'm not sure exactly. Perhaps you've just neglected to notice before. You do realise that a/c works the same if it's hot or cold ? It's simply a dehumidifier hence it clears damp...

What size speakers can I fit into the Clio

Just stick a sub in the boot, cut the low freq's to the standard speakers via the HPF/LPF on the head unit (presuming you have a half decent one!) and crank it up. They more than cope with the mid/high stuff. I really really wouldn't go to any further bother than that. Absolutely unnecessary...

Reaosnably priced DSLR with good ISO sensor in it? Nikon

Yes lol ! I had my first D-SLR for at least 18 months before I was completely done with it. Most (if not all) of the time when I got a bad shot, it was me that made it so. 'Stuff' is always getting cheaper, but then there'll be something new out. What do you generally shoot in ? Full...
