Re: dmallett's 421'd monaco
Jump started and it ran fine, both battery and alternator are reading about 14v, took it for a drive and its fine.
Get back, turn it off and try to restart it and the same thing again just clicks?
Next step is to swap the battery over, hoping that will be the end...
Sure is, its literally only done 2k since the belts/cams were fitted :o engine has done 76,963 miles iirc.
That will be similar to mine then, just stick a decent filter on it too and youll be well away! also cheapest way to get a cammed engine :)
Take it your getting it mapped to your ecu?

This is my problem, i want a ph1 again but i know it will never compare to my flamer so i think im best just sticking with the monaco and always just moaning about wanting a ph1 ha
Car looks awesome Phil! Good news on the MOT and top mounts.
I think its a good idea putting the boost thoughts to one side, have some time enjoying the car and get as much seat time as possible :)
You can easily add castor using the cup wishbones/move the bolt hole on the wishbone as chip did, though im unsure how it compares angle wise. But after fitting cup wishbones you wont be far off the price of the AST mounts.
But The way the AST mounts add the castor is also more practical, as...
I think we are planning a weekend meet in great yarmouth in the near future which isnt to far from you if thats any good?
Im sure some of the norfolk/norwich guys are up for a meet though :)
AST allow you give more castor/camber than the PMS mounts.
AST are alot more money, so is it worth the extra money for the option to add the castor?
PMS top mounts can be used with there very well designed strutbrace in the future if you wanted stiffen the front of the car.
Ive had AST top...
