Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the 172/182?
Failing that can you tell me what each relay does and where it is located? ( im only interested in start and charge, lights, pumps, wipers, fans etc. Not climate or any frivolities lol

Spent some more time working on the new shell.

I also managed to get the engine running with the Phase 1 ECU and loom ....

Does the phase 2 pump regulate the pressure mechanically? i.e its pre-set within the pump and receives no information from the ecu?
Therefor you can run a phase 2 pump in a phase 1? (with correct rail etc.)

The car has 500lb springs in the standard position so equivalent of 250lb on a full coilover. What does yours use spring wise?
Well it was mainly the fact it was riveted as to why I removed it. When removed the panel all one corner was rusty, by the time I'd cut it back it didn't fit anymore!
No not had any seam welding. The cage is been put in very tightly, so all the small gaps between the cage and the chassis where they almost touch have been welded together.
It should be very stiff!
all the unused brackets have been taken out - not really anything left to remove!

A plan has been brewing for some time to reshell the car into a new shell with a weld in cage.
I picked up a new shell from sheffield last year and had a custom cage fitted by RED motorsport in deeside. Custom cages 6 point weld in with some extra bars of my choice.

I don't disagree with you, somewhere like Eypnt you want something nice and stable because of the undulations.
Somewhere like caerwent or weeton rear toe-out could be a benefit, due to all the slow-ish speed corners.
For now I will leave the toe out off though, and develop the car without. I...
