Have had the idler replaced but not the tensioner - he defo said the idler as this was part of the kit. From your response it sounds like it could be ok!?

It's not really a predominent smell but definately noticable from the drivers side wheel arch - may just be a new belt smell but I'm not so sure!

Right, taken the car for a drive this morning and the sound was not as predominent at first start, it seems more apparent when the car is at normal running temp. The sound can be heard from lower down rather than the engine bay. Not sure if the best description of the noise is a 'chirp' more...

A/S stands for 'All Seasons' so I've read but have a feeling they do not make a 205/45/16 sized Exalto A/S. I imagine the garage have listed the item incorrectly and more likely to be a 205/55/16.

I better go and take a look at the garage next week - this is intriguing!!
