have you tried insureing the 172 in your name(your policy) and your mum as a added driver it will reduce you quote quite alot.

i would offer 5.7 with service, other than that offer 5.5 and get service sorted yourself.

i would offer the 5.5 given that there are no problems- if there are problems that you think will affect the MOT then go with the 5.9k. personally i would offer the 5.5k and get the service done myself, idont have a clio 17 so im unsure how much a servie cost's?!
