The OH has a mk1 focus and the quickclear screen is genius - sat nav doesn't like it though.

Thread got busy :) Buy one of these: Drink what's inside :cheers: Break open the box, put on the screen shiny side up. Lasts ages and doesn't go soggy - also makes it looks like the car is owned by a gyppo so good when parking in dodgy areas.

How do I get the wipers to stay up in a central position so I can tuck some cardboard under them to stop the screen frosting over?

Heard it before about these cars being "tame". 300bhp/600nm torque and 0-60 in 3 seconds on gravel - still pretty rapid. Gutted I couldn't make it this year - usually go every year. Need to bring it back to brechfa next year. About a mile from my house ;)

I'd just keep what you have - after all you know what needs doing. The new car might be "faster" but it could also need work. People usually sell cars at that price point for a reason rather than keep them.
