Fair play to you! I love my car, so much fun to drive but that's slot of money for 40bhp. I was tempted to tune mine, but instead I bought a ZX6-R and did my bike test with all the leathers for £2,500. Want something fast, buy a sportsbike! :)

I wouldn't do that personally as you are just masking the problem, and it could then ruin the whole engine. You want to get some pressure gauges, to see if its the gauge lying or not.

Sounds like it needs a good service with the right oil and filter. But then again could the pump be worn?

I use a WD Passport and its brilliant, its 320GB, think it was £50. But its the nice of a passport (hence its name) and about 15mm thick. Really good tool, use it for all what you want it for.
