Hello all, this is just a enquiry to see if it would be worth offering. But I do headlight restoration if anyone's interested, if I get interest I will work out a set price.
I don't have a price in mind yet as I haven't looked into what places and people charge, but I would consider doing a...
Hmm don't think so, it's more of a strong creak than that! It's not in sequence with the wheel going round either, goes at random intervals! Haven't managed to get a video of the knocking noise yet
I have discovered a creaking noise from the front left wheel, I don't know if this is related to the knocking but I have a video of it! But I can't upload the video from iPad for some reason?
Yeah going to have a look after tea! Thinking its driveshaft related, it seems to be louder at lower speeds, but slower! It goes with the engine speed, faster = quicker knocking. Going to jack it up and spin the wheels and have a look around! anything else I should do or look for? A loud...
i have a knocking noise coming from the front of my Clio, it's quite loud, easily noticeable when putting it out of gear, this is when going in straight line! Any help?
Thank you bud, I'm actually pretty pleased with the jobs I've done painting so far! Strips especially, I suppose you're right, the blending on the wheel arches is only noticeable up close, like centre metres away so that's good!
Yeah only did one wing as they'll get dirty I'm storage and will...
Interesting! I'm very intrigued in this, poor snappy I'm tempted to do this myself as I'm quite practical! I'm looking into as we speak! Do you need to do your thumb grips too?
@fairm010
It's ridiculously good tape too haha! Rear number plate won't budge!
Okay will do, seems the safer option! thanks I will do this sometime in the week! When I get round to it!
Thanks man, appreciate it! Haha I do try, I'm pretty bad at following things on here though! I notice you've ordered...
I have some double sided tape left over from my number plate, didn't know whether to us that or not, I'm guessing they just sit flush and not tucked under the seal or anything silly?
I think you're probably the only person that reads my thread mate it's probably quite boring really, thanks though
Update
Friday afternoon came a tipping point in the car, I was sitting on the fence whether to stop and save for next car or to carry on spending on the car. I went with the 2nd option, spend spend spend. Now I'd just planned to do rear bumper and not bother with the front, however sport front...
Thanks! Will have a look at all the products suggested and will choose the ones I like, thanks for your help! That's what I'm after really, best looking minimal effort, I do like looking after my car but don't want to be spending all day doing it haha and having millions of different cloths
Yeah I use that method haha, problem is I just use a sponge I think, which is crap for cleaning I've heard!
Grit guards?
Yeah I have smaller microfibre towels but it still struggle to dry the car quick enough, I'm guessing a bigger towel makes this easier?
Thanks for the tips!
Perfect thanks mate! I have a quick detailer, Megs I think! But I've never used it, how do I use it?
Indeed it is, I see so many people suggesting the most expensive products on other threads, that's not for me!
Satisfaction from it is the big one I think! Would leave it to a pro otherwise! I...
Oh Christ, I don't intend on spending that much all I'm after really is;
Shampoo
Drying microfibre towels
Glass cleaner
Good wax
Good wash mits
But just not sure what ones to get. So many different products out there!
Got myself a Megs clay detailing kit as my bonnet was like sandpaper, I've never used one of these before but I must say I was very impressed with the outcome! Very easy to use but very effective, it's so smooth now
Should probably think about doing the whole car because of the benefit...
That's true! Everything being black has brought out the grey headlights! Didn't notice it before the new bumpers etc, strange.
If you can find a decent set of black insert headlights it would be worth it Imo, look at mine, that has black inserts, looks a lot shinier for some reason, the...
