If it's got a mis fire, I'd be heading straight to the coilpack, HTs and plugs. Check for damp around the plugs / rust in the plug holes. Have you still got the engine cover on ? Has the car been serviced recently ?!

As above - HU powers the speakers.. that's where the naffness is coming from. HU with freq. cutting and a sub in the boot. Job done.

Wrong spark plugs ? HTs in the wrong order ? Take the inlet off, check the order is correct on the leads (no.1 cyl is driver side, no.4 is by the box IIRC) and make sure they used the right sparks. There is only one brand/type to use... NGK PFR6E-10
