Insurance paid for, wasn't that expensive. No finance, petrol about £150, tis all really...good thing too since Im a student!
If we want to talk silly insurance, I paid around £3000 for a year on my dad's '05 SLK350....was worth it for the cool factor at school lol! Paid simular for my Cupra R...
Well, sun eventually came out so after changing the sparks and getting the car working I set about a quick virgin clean. Im no photographer (hence huge shine off windows) but thought Id post a few pics anyways.
Whilst changing Sparks I have pulled out the small airfeed that comes off the air intake, just after the airbox and just before it enters the inlet manifold. Its a very short lead, 10" or so but I can't see where it plugs back in :|
*Feel an idiot lol" Where does it go?
Thanks
Haha I can offer discounted fish and meat to all Bmouth cliosport members, gotta love random part time jobs, never thought I'd be a "butcher" this time last year.
Fitted replacement spark, car works fine now but sluggish as hell, I bought cheapeast crap spark I could find which was a Denso...
It says in the manual that the autowipers must be activated every time they are used, IE switch wipers off and then on to position "B" again. That, coupled with highest sensitivity mine seem to work perfectly :)
Coil pack didnt make a different. I found and unplugged post cat sensor, no change, even with car jacked up I cant find the plug for the precat, following the wire it seems to disappear into the engine bay.
Cheers for reply, which one is the lambda sensor mate? They're normally obvious but can't work out which one it is on the Clio. There are loadsa sensors and plugs around the airintake, had a look on google for a picture but nothing. Dont fancy unplugging the wrong one lol
I'll take off the...
Only a few days into Clio ownership and the car packs in, ah well! As with loads of other people, emission light has flashed on and off, car is idling very erratic, misfiring on several cylinders all the time (its struggle to stop it stalling) and is totaly undrivable.
Reading threads, it...
Ah Wallisdown, know it well, where the other half lives and therefore where I spend half (all) my time lol No doubt you'll see my car around. At the top of Kinson road there is always a nice black 182 parked in a drive, before I got my car I considered knocking on the door and asking if he...
Funny you say that, a mate of mine in Bournemouth has exactly the same car, including the rebadge! Will keep an eye out ;)
Bit annoyed atm as my car has developed a major misfire, emission light is flashing and has no power at any revs. Its certainly ignition related, Im guessing Coil pack...
'Fraid not, in and around Ferndown today.
I must admit Ive seen a fair few Sports in the area, 3 on my drive home! Was a nice looking Racing Blue 182 with White Racing stripes behind me (I was in the gf's car though :() with a CS sticker around Winton last night looked good!
AlexS, PM in...
Good to see so many people from around here! Im in Ringwood (K-tech handy ;)) but always in and around Bournemouth
Im pretty sure Ive seen both your cars around, definitely an Inferno 182! Im in an arctic blue 182 with CS stickers, just had a play n its lurvely. Handling and fun factor wipes...
Hey, I thought I'd reintroduce myself seeing as Ive actaully gone and bought a car now!
I live in Bournemouth, Ive seen a few people with CS stickers driving around the area so I'll be keeping an extra keen eye out, dont be afraid to wave lol. Any meets or events in the area I'm definitely on...
Just a very quick post (late for work). Went to view a blue 2004 182 with Cup packs today in Winchester. Car seemed very tidy, well looked after and had no faults I could see. Noticed a CS sticker in the rear window, was told the previous owner sold it to buy a new renaultsport 197. Reg is...
Still yet to find the perfect 172/182 (im tres fussy about second hand cars!) so i cant comment on its performance. I can however say that in my Seat LCR, in the heat with its turbo it would be what I would call verging on sluggish. I remember joining a dual carriage way and a 1.2 16v Clio 4...
Hey, just introducing myself here.
Im Ben from Bournemouth. My last car was a Seat Leon Cupra R, got the hot hatch bug but want something a little smaller and cheaper and think a 182 fits the bill. Planning on tracking it at Castle combe, Abingdon and a few other places in the south so perhaps...
W4tson, my first post on the forum and its going to be about insurance, how dull lol but I thought its worth letting you know:
Im 20 with 3 years NCB and admiral are only quoting £800 fully comp on a Clio 172. They insured me no problem on my last car (a Seat Leon Cupra R 225) for about the...
