F4Rs don't really like being opened up.
As Harv says, Ford Duratec or Zetec or Vaux XE are the engines that seem to take being opened up and altered pretty well.

Yes mate, might go up a class in hillclimbing. Just toying with a few ideas and the better half suggested this. With other things going on at the moment, this may end up making the best sense.

Seat doesn't have to be "In date" for just UK MSA events, only if an FIA event which you'll only really get abroad.
Helmet has to be Snell approved with Hans posts as you do need a HANS device as per blue book. So that is really £400 + for both together...
