I've currently got a 570gtx and it's time for a upgrade. I've been looking at the Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X OC. it's got some great reviews and solves the problem with the reference boards. or do I go with the 780 which is slightly less performance but use my 570gtx as a PhysX card?

Yeah it's pretty cool, looks good on the Ipad. It's ideal when you want to kill some time and are away from the PC. You need to install the Battelog application as well as Commander application if you want to choose servers you want to connect to (I'm PC so not sure how it works on consoles)...

BF4 on PC does have some serious sounds issues with missing sounds. Wouldn't surprise me if the xbox one version has similar bugs.

SP is pretty short and was ok it's not really worth buying just for SP though.

Never had an issue with i5 running at 4.6Ghz runs everything without issue (Tomb Raider, Farcry 3, Bioshock, Prima stress test, benchmarks) been like that for over a year.

Yeah it's OC @4.6Ghz, I get the windows 8.1 sad face screen lol so you might be onto something, I'll drop it tonight and give it a go.

Yeah all drivers are up to date for everything, my PSU is decent. Just doing a bit of Googling and it does seem to be pretty common to be fair. I'll do some more testing and see what I can find maybe there'll be an update to game that might resolve it soon, if it is game related of course.
