Wondering if taking out the foglight would be the easiest way to direct cold air to the intake as it's running hot after every drive. Also, what kit could I put in the foglights place? Thanks
Ace. I once went to a chippy and parked next to a 182 like mine, and made eye contact with a guy driving a 200 who then parked next to me. Once stood in the que he came up next to me and we didn't say a word to each other. Then when we drove off at the same time with our pizzas we gave a thumbs...
Bought some sealent and plugged it, then some metal sheet and wrapped under the collar. Just sealent really. Its still to bake properly but it popped yesterday and blew a hole in the sealent haha! Hope I can get it baked soon. Mine has a tiny hole anyway, it needs welded really.
You just don't want to seem the overkeen type, I have this all the time. You wave and they don't wave back. You stop the car at the junction and get out and they drive off when you run at them. What gives??
Are vees all that quick? They don't look quick on the tele. I've never seen one in the flesh. They seem to be a little more bark than bite. But the MR layout is meant to be a hellish advantage.
Well, it appears the exhaust is a bit too short for the car. Its an SRN109 exhaust, but it sticks out a little too far at the rear and it sags at the cat by about half an inch too far.
I want to fit the decat as it both straightens out the sagging problem and allows me to seal it up and sort...
I'm stuck as to why the mpg dropped so low. It was a very leaky precat join and the sensor completely unplugged, it surprised me how badly it reacted. Its a gamble for me to try and remove the lambda but it has to happen if only to solve the saggy exhaust and blowing. Its sucking the fun out of...
I was trolling with the last post. But yeah it was low. Maybe I need it diagnosed. Problem with this is my funds are low, and I'm worried I'm going to drive my car into the ground. Money... gah.
It was low. Single digits low. 5 is what my memory serves me. It was ridiculously low. To be honest, its irrelevant. Either way I'll be endeavouring to fit the decat with lambda sensor attached to the car one way or another.
Right, OK then. It hit those figures while crawling through (up) a village. I was watching the numbers drop every second. Heavy traffic. I've heard the dash can give a different reading to reality. But either way what happened happened and I'll be fitting it with lambda and sealant his time.
Thats... that's exactly how I tested it! Needless to say, I'll get it put in with the lambda and seal it and see what happens. At least then its not hitting speed bumps and sits level.
My maths? I just read the dash display. Plus, the needle was practically dropping at the speed of light.
This is how it was fitted: attached using relevant tools and bolts etc. , then without lambda as it was stuck to cat. , then there were holes all around it so it sounded like a bag of...
It drops to about 9mpg/5mpg on idle, and when I drive it drinks. Just drinks. It was leaking pretty badly though, so I think maybe the precat was getting quite a lot of air to it and upped the fuel rate to compensate. Put the cat back on and it went up to 35 again.
Its to solve a problem. My cat / exhaust hangs low as the exhaust is too short. With the decat its tight, no leaks. But I'll need to fit the lambda as it goes nuts without it. Just need a new one.
