no EML. used to come on intermitently, flash for a minute then go off. yeah got plugged in. just came up with knock sensor and random misfire. changed the sensor, got plugged again and wiped the errors. but still doing it. havent used injecter cleaner... surely if it needed cleaning then it...

ok, cant get fuel rail off..... undid the 2 visable bolts holding on the rail but it wont budge... does it need a load of force to get it off (dont want to break anything) or is there anouther nut im missing.....

as said, any way i can test them once ive removed them? or test before i've removed them? think its whats causing the misfire i have... cheers

bah, never sorted it. just checked all plugs, they're all fine. crank sensor next i suppose

Tidy. Mines hesitant and has a misfire once warmed up. EML came on and had it plugged, said random misfire and knock sensor something or other. Can't remember lol changed coilpack, leads etc prior to reading. So hopefully this sorts it. Doin my head in now lol

Out of curiosity mate... Why u changing urs? Cos it had the error code when u plugged th car in or cos of symptoms? If so what symptoms have u got?

Need a knock sensor... Will one from any other Clio of the same mk/phase work? No matter on engine size.. Or does it have to be from/for a 172

lol i've ordered a new coil pack to see if that sorts it. if not then will get it plugged in. was thinkin might be lambda (?) and gonna cost a bit much to buy a replacement for it not to work lol
