Not much difference at all in the clios, but I'll happily say my 200 is quicker in a straight line than most of the 182's I've been out with, but not a massive amount, although I'm putting 201.9bhp through the wheels and I think standard most of them sit at about 190? I'd think about a Meg r26...
I've thought about it but I'm not really sure what to go for? I'm clueless at that sort of thing, although eventually I'd like a cage in there and a harness so :)
Right guys! after spending yesterday being sick of my car, trying to find something new, and failing because theres simply nothing grabbing my eye. i've woke up and though sod it, I'll finish off the 200 and get it some Recaros.
I really don't like the 200 Recaros, the yellow bits put me off...
yep .. I went from a 1.2 mk 2 to a 1.4 mk3 and wish I hadn't bothered, should got a 172 instead. sharp got bored and had to wait to get a 200.
if you think about it, the insurance maybe £200-£300 more, but the car will be cheaper so really you'll save a few quid getting a 172 :D
the independent i've just been to see says it has had a smart repair done, but not in the places its effected, and certainly not under the headlamp or the wings, so i'm unsure where I'll stand with it, Suppose i'll just see this guy and see what he says on tuesday, I'm not sure what angle to...
But apparently you don't need to bother with belts because its just a rip of tactic from dealers? right?
the silver on in the OP looks decent, and for £1750 probably isn't too bad its 11 years old?? but again, its usually hard to tell by pictures!! in fairness you'll pay a bit more for...
yea mate, i'm at the stage where something is starting to go wrong with the 200 every week and It may time to give up on it. all be it there minor things (excluding the paint) but its a chew on and I cant be bothered. ha
FLOL, firstly at the EcoBoost comment, how can there be many bad points to a 1l engine that puts out 120/125 bhp AND get brilliant MPG? when lets face it, a 1.2/1.4 clio will have 68 bhp/100 bhp so I say well played the manufacturers who've managed to stick a economical lump thats actually...
well my argument is Gally, Even if any of the cars on this thread have had a ''smart'' repair done, how's the same thing happening to multiple vehicles in the same places?! also, in my instance, its coming off along what look like mould lines from where the bumper was manufactured, underneath...
Yup seems they are! Although I bet it's still cheaper than benfield are charging him :p
im guessing they charge £100+ vat per hour too because they wanted £250 + vat to do a 2nd service on the 200.
I'll be able to get a hold of a genuine aux belt kit for £65, timing belt kit £110 and dephaser pulley for £171.72 all inc vat. I work for Arnold Clark and we have a Renault dealer down the country so I get stuff staff price
see what they're going to charge you for parts it might save you a...
