I like the wheels mate, goes well white on white, also like those seats, although you'll get the Recaro crowd saying other wise, I have the standard ones and there spot on. Do you have a RS monitor on there? Bet it's a sod to keep clean though :p
In my 200 it would take me a hour sitting at 50 on a flat motorway to get it up to 30mpg! The extra mpg would save me £8 a week, £32 a month. I'm really not going to get upset about £32.
id love one! I can't remember fuel being Less that £1 ha ..
aye but chip, even if you worry about it and get the extra 1-2 mpg they'll only shove petrol up a other 3p and wipe out the effort.
Stand by my point - pointless worrying about it.
Off topic but in reply -
Im saving for a house now - reasons, firstly, we already have 10k + in the pot for deposit and want more
secondly, getting married next year, don't want to start looking til we've done that (our choice)
Also, we are still undecided where we want to live, and if we...
Right but IF your bothered about it.... then why not just buy something that does 70mpg and get on with ? my whole point is -
you look for a car - see what mpg it gets? Everyone notices it on the ads
work out if that car is practical for your needs / if its affordable ?
Decide it is and buy...
What my point is mate, I get in my car and drive it, I don't even look at the mpg, I fill it up. Drive it, it runs out.. That's it, I don't drive with my right foot pressed to the floor, but I don't tottle around either I just enjoy myself, and if that means driving at 50 for 10 miles on the...
Yea, check to see if the corsa is damaged, and has any of your paint on it, if so, take photos, take the reg and like said, report it.
Pretty crap that mind, mustn't have nice neighbours ?
No, I don't see how I have too much money? and it's surprising that I don't care what mpg I get?
When people spend a fortune on there cars getting boost and massive bhp then bounce them off the limiter til they collapse, and that's not surprising ..
Its surprising that I'm 23 and don't care about mpg? But it's not surprising that people go spend 15k getting a 2k car race spec then drive it like a tit and break it?
No at all I come out with a average wage (less than 2k pm) as does the mrs, we have bills to pay etc .. But I don't go on the piss every weekend or anything like that - I'd rather have a nice car. I'd rather spend the (I agree ridiculous example) £150 per day extra and drive my car though.
But...
on long runs don't 1*2s not get nearer 45-50 mpg though, but that's my point , if I was doing long runs I'd get 40mpg .... Usually get about 470 miles from a full tank. Adjust your driving to the circumstances and don't moan about it.
well then just read your handbook. It's simple really... Less acceleration , less braking, accurate gear changes.
But is it just me that thinks anything over 30 mpg is brilliant?
