I don't see the point in driving around trying to save fuel .. When in reality, the extra 5 mpg is only really going to get you out of your street and along the road. Doesn't really make much difference. Considering its a average anyway not a instant.
Yea but the question wasn't how to drive my car without giving a old woman a heart attack or smashing my shopping ...
Also chip, I don't have tons of money, I'm paying for a wedding, a bloody expensive honeymoon, saving for a deposit on a house which takes up 50% of my wage + bills = not much...
I don't see the point in this thread, why buy a 2.0 hot hatch and moan about fuel economy ... I had a guy in at work complaining his Ibiza only done 70mpg ... He didn't understand when I laughed in his face, I get 25 mpg out of the 200 and Ill not be driving less fun to improve it... Yea on a...
Lol I'm being silly, i've crashed twice before in the snow, and learnt from it, adapt my stopping distances etc ha, it's getting painted & being paid for by Renault ... Lacquer shouldn't fall off after 2 years :(!
Haha nah, he's a moron who thinks its Ok to pull out of a junction with hardly and space and got hit. Mind you, if someone done that to me I'd make no effort to stop ... I need my bumper painting ;) is that bad?! Haha
LMAO - to be honest he sounds like the kinda guy that should be driving a corsa - they all seem to go on like this fella..
What do you want us to say? Oh yea it's that guys fault because you put him in a impossible position and put his life at risk - Imagine if either party had a baby/small...
I'm struggling for which is funnier - mind you ... The other guy was just thick and gullible... And this guy - well I can't see how he can even begin to think or believe its anyone's fault! Muppets
Yea. But remember, the insurers will search the internet for things like this - 204 posts mainly saying it is actually your fault! There could have been 0 witnesses or 10 million... Either way - it's your fault, you pulled out and hit him.
Fair play for letting us know what happens, hopefully...
Re: Cambelt Con/Rip off tactics.
This.
Now we know his name can we all book our cars in for a belt change? Ha...
Im sure his "mate" has now lost this guy ALOT of business - surprising how fast word of mouth spreads
Re: Cambelt Con/Rip off tactics.
Haha it's probably why he said "meh, that doesn't need changing" ... Because if we do it, it'll end up broken & I'm not paying to put it right! But while your here I'll sell you this orange flying elephant with FSH
Re: Cambelt Con/Rip off tactics.
Haha, it's not like every car dealer for the past 70 years have said "I know we'll tell them not to change any serviceable items, that oil filter, you don't need that!"
Re: Cambelt Con/Rip off tactics.
Lol! can't actually believe this guy could be taking his "mates" word for it, it's not just renaults, I work for ford and they sharp changed from 100k or 10 years to 65k or 6 when things where going bang everywhere. I'll be getting the 200 done every 4 or 40k -...
Yup, to be honest though, if it was my dad responding to news of me crashing in this manor, he'd batter me across the house for being a prat, not go " what about your number plates "
Im actually looking forward to seeing what happened, I'd say if the other driver had have been going faster than 30 you'd have no back end left not just a crippled bumper... Sorry but it's your fault. And your goin to look like a total mong trying to argue other wise...
Do you have a whiplash...
Mate, drive it you'll love it and buy it, mine has everything except Recaros - which as much as I'd love, do nothing for my back, and it's bad enough as it is, every time I drive it I have a massive grin on my face, and I'm always getting " i love you car" comments - which is a cool plus haha...
I deal with Renault and Nissan clinic a lot, he's one of my customers, he was a master tech at Renault for 8 years and opened his own place. He programmed my RS monitor to my non RS monitor cup without even thinking about it! And didn't charge me!
There in east Boldon - highly recommend!
Although the CCTV is just going to show him pulling out and the other car hitting him, they'll surely have measured the length of the tyre tracks on the road? Or atleast took a pic, normally a good indication to how fast something's going.. The CCTV won't show how fast he was going either.
