I looked at turinis and couldnt find any decent seconds, and to buy brand new in gold or anthracite was closer to a grand. Saw the rotas and the colour and price sold me on them. I would have kept the std wheels on but tbh they look pants and are heavy as fook.

Bit crampt in the garage so cant get any decent pics of the car. Doing the rear shocks and springs tomorrow and will take it out afterward and get some pics. Wanted to keep the car close to original spec tbh, so no plans for lowering it atm.

Fitted the new cup front suspension today and new wheels (rota fighters 16" & eagle f1)

Seen this outside my office all week. Just had a peek and noticed the CS sticker. Looks v tidy.

Bought some new cup springs, shocks and oem top mounts last night also bought a set of these with goodyear eagle f1 asym 2.

I was looking at 10 or 15mm spacers, might also be an excuse to get some new wheels

Just fitted 82mm on fronts and heads sticking out about 20mm so centre caps wont fit.

If you used something like Loctite 270, they say you can remove using normal tools if you heat up to 300 degrees celcius first

Cheers for tip mate, still no budging it, even tried with wiper arms facing top of the windscreen. Will get a puller and should hopefully pop off.

Measured from the top of the hub out and looks like the studs will just protrude out a bit, thats without a spacer.

So i ended up going with 75mm for the rears and 82mm on the front. Found a company on ebay doing a set of 4 studs in a choice of lengths for 15 quid. So 60 quid all in. I have cup alloys so will likely have to lose the centre caps, might get some caps for the hub nuts.

Got a squeaky wiper arm on the passenger side, have removed the bolt holding the arm but it doesnt want to budge, even after soaked with wd40. Is there a trick to getting the arm off or can i just pry it off?

Not done much in the past 2 weeks but got a few new jobs line up... looking to do full suspension refresh, will be getting new cup springs and shocks and will do track rods at the same time. Also planning to do stud conversion and 0.5 degree shims on the rear. Fluid change so flushing gearbox...

Spotted you in the rear view going thru tunbridge wells / high brooms toward a26. Only realised it was a BG? clio when you turned off toward london / maidstone. How'd the exhaust taste?

You had your belts done recently? I had screechy steering when stationary and it was due to the aux belt tensioner being angled toward the rear of engine bay causing belt to slip.

Got my big end sorted, on my dogbone mount that is. Lots of heat, hammering and cutting and wedged the bugger out. And powerflexed. Refitting is a bit of a turd, especially with the car on stands. But i found it easier to get the gearbox end on and then rubber mallet on the big end. Just...
