Yup a blind SQL injection trying to get a data leak. Try sticking it in to google, you should find a full explanation or a billion results where it's been used on other sites - comments etc.
SMC = System Management Controller (I'd guess it was resetting this that did the trick but I did PRAM too for good measure)

PRAM = Parameter Random Access Memory.

15 minutes? You must be having a f**king laugh. First one I did took me nearly 3 hours. I can do them in about an hour now and I'd not rush to do it either, it's not easy or straight forward.
