You lot are quite organised...
Today I removed:
-All brake lines
-Pedal box
-Servo and master cylinder
-Pas pipes
Then I have washed all under the bonnet and de greased ready for me to rub down tomorrow and Tuesday so Wednesday it can go for paint.
I can't remember the exact figure. Around £26k rings a bell but I could be wrong. Then we did other work which basically consisted of a full rebuild again!
Unfortunately IMO it wasn't a great example in the flesh. Needed quite abit of stuff re-done on it. All of the internal aluminium was re-done, engine was replaced with a cross flow and the original twin cam wasn't as tuned as it stated. We also added to the roll bar to create a small cage and...
Just popped the steering wheel on and dash in.
This is at it's lowest setting. The UJ is at it's limit but still functions smoothly.

Car is done and back at home!
Picked up the flywheel and matched inlets last night.
The flywheel is 2.4kgs lighter than the ugly standard one. Just a shame that soon I won't be able to see it
Steering wheel brackets are all done too :)...
Gearbox is fine I have no idea what you are talking about....
No idea what it weighs but it is lighter :) Winter time will be when it gets even lighter
The seat is close because I marked it up wrong! doh! They can still work though but a stupid mistake
Cut the guts out of my bootlid today. Not too worried about this as it won't be on the car long until it's replaced with a fibreglass one...
Small update.
Single wiper on and seat bars in. Tomorrow I will be spending the afternoon sorting out the steering column bars so should have the car back early next week to then get ready for paint.

Re: Djw Designs dedicated track toy project
Deadlines are only made to be broken anyway ;)
I have set my self one.... 8 weeks left and it's not even as far on as yours yet!
Re: Djw Designs dedicated track toy project
Looks a nice cage :) As well as adding a fair amount of strength, it will stiffen the shell up a little more.
Do you have a deadline that you are working to?
Re: Djw Designs dedicated track toy project
Adds a lot more strength in general as there is only the top bar across the roof that is offering any side impact protection. For what it takes especially the stage you are at with the build, I would add one. Is it an OMP or Oreca cage?
