You can cut it to whatever size you want though so length isn't an issue. The sleeve like you have pictured will work yes. Make sure you get a couple of good quality clamps
Your best bet is to cut the end of your centre section off, take it to your local exhaust place and for a drink they will flare the end out to suit your Milltek decat. They should pop 4 slits/cuts into the end so you can then put an exhaust clamp round to grip the two together

Hello mate!
I know unfortunately so but like you say, the main thing is the shell will be kept and can come back to popping bits back on it here and there over a longer space of time.
After a little bit of thought I will be keeping the shell, completing it so it is right ready to have bits bolted on and go but instead of actually using it I will be covered up and put away for some time until house etc is sorted.
Everything else will however be sold
Or could you not cut the flange off the centre section, flare it to an internal diameter of 2.5" to then take a sleeved joint from your cat which Fred can mod to a 2.5" freer flowing exit? That way you have the best of both worlds. A freer flowing cat and system, and a stronger joint that will...
