The dephaser IS the inlet cam pulley. I think you are talking about the VVT solenoid.

I'd enjoy it for the 6 months you want to keep it and leave it totally as it is, standard. Soon as you start fiddling with it, the sooner you'll start putting off buyers.

Yeah, you'll have to get them gunned loose. Just go to a garage or a tyre place and they'll usually do it for nothing if you ask nicely.

It's fair to say the traders enthusiasm to sell there wares to 300 odd members is strangely lacking. Not for the want of trying on our behalf either.

Things are slowly coming together in Clio land. I've got a list as long as my fibreglass splintered arm to do before Goodwood, but it's getting there. First off, I think the idle issue is now hopefully sorted after replacing many, many things. Quite a lengthy thread on it here...

No, left that all hooked up. I've gone out and disconnected it all before work, so it'll all be reset this evening when I'm home. There is about 1mm of side to side movement on the spindle on this tb, so i'm wondering if this is causing some of the issue. I guess i'll find out if it's worked...

But in the video above I can twist the throttle body shut and it cuts the revs. Would the ICV cause that?

Right I've spent the last hour + cleaning the original throttle body up. It's virtually like new now so if this doesn't work the issue is elsewhere. It virtually snaps your fingers off on closing!! Currently soaking in grease spray overnight.
