The Williams is worthy of its price tag......not that I'm biased or owt.
The mk1 is a much better 'fun' drive. IMHO. Valver over 172 for me too. The valver will only go up in value, the 172s are 10 a penny now.
Be prepared to spend a lot of time trying to track parts down though if you go...
Never really got the big deal with the Nana tbh. Wasnt all that quick for the spec. IMHO.
The white one was quick tho.
Did have a few vids of me beating the Nana too. But don't know where they've gone.
Did find some old slips beating Nick reads nosd beast at the time tho lol.
Mag shoot messing about on the airfield.
Spa
Snetterton
Oulton and Donny above.....hardly living life a 1/4 at a time.....well ....1/4 of a mile anyway.
;)
Nope. The williamses did that many many moons ago.
A lot of the low power from the 1#2s was mainly ppl think the 172 was bhp. Lol. Like 182 was bhp too....errrr. no.
Yes. I was a club regular probably when most of you were still a twitch in your dads loins.
I know some of you are more into track days, I see spa mentioned....cracking track, not done it for a decade or so, will have to get back there one year....which I can't fault. But the odd little 0-60...
Who's the quickest on here nowadays?
Things have moved on a bit since I was a regular.
Any plans for a club 1/4 mile shootout at all?
I know York raceway are aiming more at rwyb this year. Beats a day sat in the queue at pod.
Yeah clocked the cup there yesterday. XCL 10X for the vee aye.
Chris?
Not sure tbh mate. I know a couple Chris es lol. 1 works at Murtys in hebden. So don't think itl be same lad
Cut the rubber out the rear mounts and use the power flex exh001 mounts in original castings.slot the sides and it gives you a bit of adjustment and the mounts will last longer than 12 months. bonus.
This old chestnut. A decent garage will be able to do it no prob.
Whether they are a back street garage or a 'specialist'. There's a hell of a lot of so called specialist I thankfully never have nor never will let near a car of mine.
Was £130 for my williams with footman James.
Have the trophy insured with greenlight, under £300
Both good companies to do business with, but as you say, might struggle with being under 25.
Budgie. Never heard of already wealthy people setting up businesses in their hobbies as a sideline, whether they make profit or not. Some are even used for tax purposes.
No they were expensive.
I'm not getting into the reasonings of a business with you as there's no point. As you say, there to make a profit. Although some are there purely for the enjoyment, passion and enthusiasm, but I guess these are lost on you....
Code worked a treat mate nice 1 for that.
Sounds like you've had some hassles with the super duper computerised bollox lol. It shouldn't be hard work to tax a car but they make it lol.
On a + side, managed to get a bit of a feel for the t again lol. Been stood nearly 2 years I think lol.
