I'd been lead to believe it was a company that fitted it all? I wasn't sure hence me not naming names it certainly seems abit pikey but also on the other hand when it's done right it'll just mean a little bit more power
today i stripped the old block down, im going to strip it and keep bits for parts sensors coilpack etc etc. makes sense with these cars.
i found the leak in the headgasket
i then took the bodies off the head, before so id looked down the bodies with the butterflys open and was shocked at...

not had any interest in this, ive lowered the price to 2.5 on ebay and gumtree, just wondering am i asking to much for it?
Not far off what my rallye was like towards the end of the old pumps. Like I said its alright naming a sensor on these things but it could be anything. Luckily there's always someone about to swap bits off.
haha i wasnt having a pop pal ive had my fair share of rallyes a project thread for my rallye is on this very page. its just something ive noticed when asking myself.
i love when someone has a running issue and they ask for help and people basically name every engine component or sensor and say there a common fault, i love these rallyes. infact ive just got in contact with a chap about one for sale some tasty bits i can rob off it and build it into a cheap...
i dont think ive put the vid on here of me on track at mallory ill stick it up in a moment its quite bad just sounds like im on the limiter all the time. i think i turn to my mate half way through and say this isnt good lol.

The bit that's gone on the engine is the outer bit so it leaks coolant. Performance is exactly the same so I'd guess that wasn't the case. Thanks for the comments tho.
Gouldy yeah the engine has ph3's and as the cams are coming out and I'm not using this head upgrading to ph4's could be done...
Bit of a shitter of a situation I'm in atm the car suffered really bad with fuel starvation at Mallory, not the end I the world a swirl pot set up would sort that. But recently the cars been drinking water quicker than a thirsty eithiopian child ala headgasket failure. My plan with the car was...
you got it then mate. looks good ive wrote a add out for the 172 and im lookin at s2 rallys for a temp daily so i can put some money into the s1. indego is defo the best colour.
when taking right handers im getting a juddering/knocking type noise its only really when on the power. ive done some searching and it seems most are saying its drive shaft. the cars low but not ridiculous so im guessing thatll increase wear and tear.
It's just gradually got worse and the old pump gave up. The new one is fine on the road but on the long fast corners of Mallory it obviously struggled. From what I've heard from people with similar specced rallyes it's a common thing. I just have no idea on what exact parts I need for a swirl...
Swirl pot is defo needed it ruined the time on track. But the was what the day was for short sessions to see if any problems arose. The normal pump was fine on the road but on the track it was constantly struggling. I was hoping it would hold out till after the summer but it seems I'll need to...
took the car to mallory on saturday and managed to get a blast on track. right before my first session the car over heated in the paddock and like a complete moron i slightly undid the radiator cap and boiling waer exploded everywhere. still cant belive i did it, went all over my arm face and...

the tyres on the steelies where utter toss in the dry the car would move about alot and you had no confidence. a hell of alot of fun, good to drive but they just didnt work. i swapped the steelies and these plus 100 his way the tyres are toyos and are brand new so was more than worth it. i was...
jt yes mate it was the pump that was knackered, replaced with a gti pump and its working great. i can still feel it cutting on corners but it doesnt cut out just hesitates so ill be sorting a swirl pot set up out once i figure out exactly what i need. ive put a thread on rr but its had no...
