But look at the slr squirming around trying to put it 600+bhp through the rear wheels...
I suppose that the bugatti does have higher transmission losses but it can use most of its power whatever the conditions...
Sort of knew the outcome before clicking the link. But it was interesting to see how much of a difference there is.. Quite suprised at the amount of distance between them at the end.
mine did exactly the same and it turned out that the coil pack, which was faulty due to the clever local renault garage using the wrong bolts and leaving it totally loose in the engine bay!
i'd get it checked as soon as, cos it will fail completely and leave u stranded like it did me!
Trading standards were useless... Said that they could only "advise" the garage to do the work. Unless it was a criminal matter then they couldnt intervene.
I think the treatment they gave me was close to that..
Get two or three tyre shops to compete for your business... Thats what I did and I ended up getting 2 new pe2's 205/45 16 for £75 each including fitting and balancing... This was from the first price of £120 they quoted me.
This was kwik fit btw...
They were saying that the complete failure of the engine was too long after the sump plug fell out so that they would only contribute 75% towards the cost.
Still its better than legal action.
And the dumbarton branch seems decent. The service manager was a nice guy, spoke to him for ages...
The funny thing is that they said that the fact it was burning oil had nothing to do with them leaving the sump plug loose so it fell out when the engine was running!!
Bunch of jokers!
yeah a 12 month warranty for the engine which was good.
The funny thing about it was that the garage were wanting to charge me £5700 for the supply and fitting of the exchange engine!!
So i got off pretty lightly!
After my cup engine expired just out of warranty renault and arnold clark had to fit me a new one!
I still had to pay over a £1k for it which I thought was alot but I had a new engine and a few things thrown in as well..
Now I've just got to run it in all over again!!
Oh and they fitted...
Isnt it a 318 with 4 sets of m3 front wheels???
Its got the front m bumper as well.
Looks ok until you see the back half, i.e the thin back wheels and the single exhaust...
It looks like its needing a new set of rear tyres. Should never be as oversteery as that....
Isnt that dario benuzzi the ferrari test driver at the wheel?? Hes def italian..
where do i start??
Arnold clark in bearsden is the worst dealer i have ever had the misfortune of using and judging by the number of angry customers in at the same time im not the only one!!
It seems like it was speed dependant. Only did it when I was in fifth gear backing off from over 4k rpm....
No other gears at the same revs...
:S
Weird..
Was out driving my car last night and noticed a high pitch shriek from the bottom right hand side of the engine bay.
It only ever happened when I was doing a decent speed in 5th gear, backing off the throttle over 4000rpm....
I thought it might be a wheel bearing....
Any ideas...
I've got the lower dogbone mount from ktec, taken away most of the knocking but does transmit some vibration into the cabin.
Next ill change the two top mounts and that should sort it!
Just saw this on autocar and loved the bit at the end where chris is accelerating from 120kmph to 300....
Look at that needle move!!
